Bayonetta

Tried the demo on the 360. Thought it was amazing - so much imagination gone into this game and the artwork and music/sound effects were first class.
Can't wait to pick this up on the 8th Jan now :)
 
Im liking this, Its unfair to try and compare it to DMC, As it's now in it's 4th installment. Bayonetta from what i've played is most definately superior to DMC 1 and 2 as far as game mechanics are concerned.

Agreed. Technically the game is excellent. Animation is superb and gameplay is smooth as butter. I suspect the fighting system is going to slap DMC and GoW intp touch too, but will have to get hold of the full game to judge.
 
Don't know why people are saying DMC is better or anything. Its made by the guy who created DMC.

Has it been confirmed they are fixing the PS3 version?
 
Weather DMC is on its 4th installmeant doesnt bother me id rather play DMC1 than this but that is imo. I can see why people like it so each to their own

You can just mash buttons in tekken and streetfighter IV
 
You can button bash in any game for that matter, its down to if you pay attention and know what your doing when you press them buttons.
 
I tried the demo and it seemed pretty bland to me.

Bash buttons and win. I dont like the main character and the music was irritating.

The camera is god awful too. Trying to see things in odd places is nigh on impossible.
 
People saying you can just bash buttons, Do you really think thats going to cut it on normal difficulty against bosses, and higher difficulties against normal foes?

There are difficulty settings for a reason in games, if you're finding it easy.... UP IT.

obviously you cannot in a demo.

im guessing this demo is set to easy like most demos out there. I know the DMC4 demo was.
 
Action brawlers like this are all about the combos and style in which you take your enemies out. Recognising the different attack patterns and being able to adapt seamlessly to keep stringing the combos together.

We're all different and enjoy different things - i can see why a lot of people would find a game like this sensory overload and just a confusing mess - whereas others find they're minds concentrated by the tempo of the action.

Roll on 8th January.
 
Only the weak bash buttons. Cool people press them as and when they are needed and in sequences that reap utter destruction.
 
The combat system in this game makes god of war 3 and dante's inferno seem backwards imo.
This has definitely redefined the genre same way dmc did.Edge magazine gave it a perfect score too recently.

It's like saying sf4 sucks the theme tune annoys me (indestructible) and it's just bashing buttons.
Finding it hard to believe actually some of the comments, seems some poeple wouldn't know a good game if it came up and bit them.

For me personally I would rather prefer to split between the Western and Japanese developed games of this genre as each are pretty different in execution and great in their own ways.

For example, the likes of God of War being a slightly slower paced and more "grounded" type of game, whereas the Devil May Crys, Ninja Gaidens and Bayonettas are extremely twitched based over-the-top affairs.
 
Anyone going to pick this up Friday? Im undecided to which system ill get it on, the PS3 version isnt as polished as the 360 and suffers from more slow down and longer loading times, but its still good. The 360 version is superior graphically but the PS3 controller seems to work much better for these types of game. It does sound like its pretty insane but without much of a story, but i reckon it may be a total blast to play.
 
'Twill be a rental on 360 for me. Never a big fan of this type of thing so not sure it would ever get completed.
