You knows it.Keep everyone except Steve Ryder, James Allen and Mark Blundell
The coverage of Moto GP on the BBC, is very good, and i can only expect the F1 coverage to be better,
Was that as a commentator or as a pitlane interviewer?Just heard on Radio 1... Murray did say he'd think about coming back if he was asked, but somebody would have to ask him first![]()
Was that as a commentator or as a pitlane interviewer?
True. Although the reforming of the mighty Murray and Martin partnership...I suspect the latter, although this would seem to suggest the former![]()
He also did some pit stuff so he could mean that.I.e "coming back" as in commentator
ITV haven't lost the coverage, they made a commercial decision to terminate the contract.ITV have been pretty good wrt their coverage - I feel a bit sorry that they've lost F1.
An interesting decision to make. Surely ITV were seeing higher viewing figures with the Lewis effect in full swing? I would love to know why ITV got rid of F1.ITV haven't lost the coverage, they made a commercial decision to terminate the contract.

Apparently they have an option to terminate the contract at the end of this year despite being 3 years into a 5 year deal. The BBC were approached by Bernie rather than it going to tender.

It didn't say, I'd expect as a commentator... According to Google, Murray is now roughly 85 years old... so I really don't know if he really would make the move to go back to the sport. Was that as a commentator or as a pitlane interviewer?

Yup. 'Tis a strange one. The BBC News article quotes Bernie as saying that ITV don't have time for F1 anymore or something?!Yeah it's a very strange decision to make really, especially as you'd think that interest in F1 in the UK is surely higher than it has been in a great number of years what with a Brit finally winning something in the sport?
I can't understand why the decided to axe it 3 years into (what you would think is) a lucrative contact?
I wouldn't be surprised if he did.It didn't say, I'd expect as a commentator... According to Google, Murray is now roughly 85 years old... so I really don't know if he really would make the move to go back to the sport.
Hmm F1 racing on ice?Probably because they can make more money by making another show targeted towards the lowest common denominator. I expect it will be something along the lines of 'dancing on ice' or perhaps another awful soap like emmerdale..
