I'd never buy them .... but then I did a double-take on the mark-up on having them wireless ........sod that lol . They sound bad enough with wires :p

know that first hand do you :D

I'm no fan but the wild claims by people in these threads have been pretty funny.

Will have to keep the range going just to keep making these threads i think.

I'm one of those people making "wild claims", i'm sure you understand the everyone will have their own opinion on it. Personally i wouldn't buy them as you can get other headphones for a better price that will (depending on the person) sound better. I also think their build quality is quite poor. Bought some £20 Goji Tinchy Stryder earphones from the world of PCs that IN MY OPINION sound better than the beats that i tried in said retailer.

I had shure 425's many years ago and loved them, a mate bought the first series of beats to be different and took three pairs back because the headband keep coming apart, he finally gave up and got some entry level shure 215's and is converted for a third of the money. Beats are more of a ridiculous statement thing like an iPhone, ipad and creed aftershave.

When you buy Beats headphones, you pay £90 for the headphones and £150 for the letter b.

Not sure if selling these is still a gag and OCUK will turn round and post up a "haha gotcha" thread.

40 quid (at best) cans with the price hiked up at least x5 because the marketing team paid a rapper to endorse. I've actually had the misfortune to have been gifted a pair and they are really no better than trash like Skullcandies and the like. The fashion statement argument (ie standing out) is also a little baffling as well seeing as millions of others are all wearing them too.

I guess if you have money to burn and can't form your own opinion these are perfect. Best to remember that Grado's and other superior models can be had for less money. The OCUK staff seem to be quite dismissive of people who make this point. You should give your customers a little more respect than to just treat them as lol marks to be ripped off.

Not disagreeing with marketing sells a product. Look at BF3/4/Hardline as a prime example lol

If OCUK sold for example XFactor Gaming endorsed gaming rigs with a sticker slapped on the front they'll probably shift loads of units based on his "celebrity" name alone.
N.B Your competitors do that but with Jack Frags :p

To whom are you referring?

This thread is rather amusing, although.. It's a good step for the company, loads of people buy these!!

Personally I wouldn't despite how good they may sound, they don't have a look that matches the price tag in my opinion.

I saw the thread title and wondered if I would see everyone ripping into Beats once I started reading the thread itself. I'm so happy that everyone here knows how overpriced and crap they are too!

OCUK should stock Grado headphones. I would argue that they look way better than Beats anyway. A shame I can't use my SR80i at work, but open back is part of what makes them sound so good.

I have a pair of studios , and while I don't think there worth there 250+ price tag, they are no where near as bad as people say they are. I luckily got mine for like half price, and for listening to music with a lot of bass, rap and hip hop etc, I think there brilliant ! Like people have said if they was that bad they wouldn't have sold as many as they have. The make of the headphones is actually monster , which I've always thought were a decent brand anyway :) .... And why would all the most popular dj's use those mixr headphones if they were as bad as eVeryone says ? Must be paid or something ?

Just for the lol's

It's a business isn't it.. I think we are all too tech savvy to be buying these awful still births of an excuse of a headphone. I am sure people will google this on and find ocuk and sell them.

Beats headphones are objectively crap, people are not being snobby here, it really just is fact. For the same price as one of these abominations, you could get a Bang & Olufsen H6, Bowers & Wilkins P5. Both of which have stunning sound signature and wonderfully made.
