Bebox or Be connection problem?

Ive stopped using my bebox due to it freezing, wireless not working right etc..

Now using the 834GT with the Uber firmware, sync's lower than the speedtouch, but a solid connection

just a update folks my 834GT arrived this morning 7am :o couriers are getting earlier everytime! will post back later with stats and how i'm getting on with the new router (crosses fingers hoping it solves his issues)

Funny thing, Ive been having the same problem these last few days.

I have modded the firmware on the *Be router too.

i too am having problems. it was flawless for the first few months but now the box reboots, wifi drops out, takes ages to establish the dsl connection etc. dg834g is on the way, managed to bundle it onto a antec minuet (for my htpc) order from a competitor (sorry ocuk!) to get free postage. it's only going to be a version 2 though, but hopefully it should be ok. i think they are up to version 4 now, but the highest i could find was a 3, but that was more expensive + p&p! fingers crossed!

got my DG834GT and flashed to latest firmware but it keeps asking for the dsn address primary and secondary in the netgear setup as it doesn't detect automatically, anyone any ideas?

do you mean dns? if you are getting your ip address through dhcp then dns server information should be delivered too. if push comes to shove then get onto your isp to find out the ip addresses of their servers and then manually add them in. i would say that is a short term fix though to be honest. that is, unless you have a static ip address? in which case the dns server addresses you should be using ought to be in that documentation too.

basically when i try going through the setup wizard it takes a day and a age and then produces me some problem saying that it can't find the dns server or something similar, and in the basic settings it doesn't seem that any ip addresses have been assigned see here :

sorry to hijack the thread at all, but i've flashed my 834gt with the uber firmware - how do i now go about setting my target snr?

I just dropped mine down 5% at a time and kept an eye on my connection to make sure there was no drop outs etc.......

I think I put mine to 75% and my line sync went from 10meg to 11.5

I could put it all the way down to 15% and hit 14.5 meg but the line would be stable for hours then start lagging me ingame and dropping out at times, a stable connection means more to me than speed so I'm happy with waht I have!!

p.s. Just in case its under "UberGT" "Advanced ADSL settings"

the problems never stop, nets connected fine but when i play cs 1.6, i get mass amounts of drop outs and lag all over the place. my stats are as follows :

just done a speedtest and my speed has gone from 14mb to 5mbdown and 1.1mb up! what the hell is going on guys?

i'm playing on wireless but my Bebox i never experienced lag issues and spikes i just occasionally got disconnects.

with this netgear i've managed to solve the disconnects by flashing to a older firmware but i'm getting silly amounts of spikes in game.

considering with my old BT 8mb connection i was getting 7-12ping in game and a rock solid connection any time of day and any amount of users on my home network this Be is a absolute JOKE!

It does seem strange that its worse with the Netgear, have you contacted Be at all through this time?

Have you tried a quiet line test to see if there is any interference on your line?

Dial 17070, press option 2 (quiet line test)
