yes llc and 101 on vci

in the advanced tab alter your snr percentage ,press apply, lower it to get higher synch :)

ta, did you choose ADSL2+ aswell in the advanced adsl settings tab under modulation mode? or did you leave it at the default?

also i'm still getting the silly little lag spikes in game see in the pic my netgraph is fine then just blips momentarily for a unknown reason :

I choose adsl1 or 2, 2+ not that good for me, depends what your line is like

well on adsl2+ i'm sync'ing at 15mb down and 1.3up so it's not bad and speedtest looks good,

after looking about on Be's forum i see a guy had a similar problem changed his antivirus from AVG 7.5 (which i have) to avast and his problems were solved, will give this a try later i think.

any thoughts on why i'm getting the random spikes every couple of mins and it's rock solid otherwise?

Ive not got a clue really, does sound like it could be something running in the background though

hmm, maybe it is my AV then it's strange will give avast a go later and report back with the results, bloody Be* never had these problems with my BT line and had ingame ping of 7 aswell, only reason i switched was for the higher upload and download speed now i have higher ping, lag spikes :@

are you on fastpath? BE set you to interleaving as standard. request fastpath in your ticket

i did try fastpath then requested it to be turned off as i put the problems i've been experiencing down to that, now that i have seen it's not that i'l probably request it again. but wanted my connection to be fixed first before i play around with fastpath

after trying avast anti-virus and removing AVG 7.5 i tried playing cs now the spikes were less consitant but were still there so i'm presuming it is something to do with a background programme/process. Starting to think that it could be something to do with vista thoughts? i'm really starting to tear my hair out with this problem now

ok got a lot of tests to run through Be and my bebox tonight after raising a ticket.

On a side note though, yesterday i had huge DNS issues around 5:30pm, and couldn't connect to any browser/msn/mirc however ventrilo and steam would connect fine. later last night my net came back and i was able to connect but i ran Be's speedtest and also the one on speedtest.net and both were reporting my line to be at 3-4mb down (previously i was getting 15mb down), so i started to panic and tried a download and i was getting 1.5mb/sec so my line was fine just speedtests were reporting very slow speeds, any ideas why this is?

loosing my rag with Be now and might well switch back to ADSL and go with ukonline's 8mb package

I had a coupl of DNS issues on Be last night aswell :|. All of the speed tests I do report my line speed at 3-10Mb yet I still download at 1.55MB/Sec... slightly off base

Just point your dns to opendns... The only downside is you have to type the ip address of the BeBox rather than 'bebox' to get to your router...

Personally, I'm not fussed about the DNS being a little slow. At a best guess, 95% of the time I'm on my computer at home I'm playing games. My force of habit is always to use the direct IP address of the hardware, had so many friends complaining that they can't access their network shares any more. So I go over, they're not displayed as per normal so I go to the machines IP (\\192.168.0.7 for example) and mount the shares on their machine :)

OOPS! *slaps self for going off topic*

Your SNR margin isn't that great (not that it's bad either, it's bang on the default target SNR margin that Be set) - if it fluctuates much it could be the cause of the problem too (though I thought Be had Seamless Rate Adaption enabled), especially if you've lost 1000kbps from your sync rate.

aye, Be* has SRA enabled.

Looking at your stats, you're getting a hell of a lot of CRC/FEC/HECs. Now, this isn't a massive issue, but i think with that amount you're probably dropping bits all over the place and thats why its retraining.

Ring Be* and get them to up your noise margin to 9db, should stabilise things up nice. Also, you going through any internal wiring or are you in the Master Socket?
