Beerwulf - cheap online beer shop (well, for Belgian beers at least)

I'm a little nicer whereby i take advantage of the free box, then pay for one month and then cancel saying it's not for me. I feel less guilty that way but still get cheap beer :p

I've just had my 1st full price box from Beer52. Some very nice beers in the free one last month, Thornbridge Green Mountain NE IPA went down very well.

All this months beers are unknown to me. My decision is are small bottles or tins (330ml) from worth £3 each, what with supermarkets doing 500ml bottles at 4 for £6.

Personally I prefer to pick mine.

Also quality over quantity is something I do care about.

What bottles are they? I can only imagine cask style English beers i.e. Bitters and old style pale ales, as I don't know what others come in 500ml bottles at the supermarket. If so most cant really be compared to a modern style ipa or stout etc in terms of quality.

The supermarkets do sell those styles in 300ml cans/bottles for 3 for £5 of whatever so they can be found at a decent price if that's what you're looking for.

Which bottles as in Beer52? I think the YT below covers this month's box.

Good point on the supermarket bottles being more traditional IPAs etc (Black Sheep, St Austell, Theakstones etc) than the posher (and smaller) craft ales

Local Lidl doing the Belgian Beer Exclusives pack again for £10.99. Contains 2 Gulden Draak (1 Tripel and 1 Quadruple), 2 Bornem (1 Double and 1 Triple) 2 Piraat (one Blonde and one Triple Hop).

Best on line price for the same six that I could find was £18.03 without any delivery costs so I think this represents a great deal.

These are pretty strong beers though so probably not to everybody's taste. Personally I don't mind that but they are probably best sipped gently.

Yeah worth a punt at that price for sure, I like the gulden draak's as well. No Lidl's really near me though for some reason, bit of a drive away to get to them.

Also they are apparently doing Franziskaner Weissbier 500 ml for £1.50 which is meant to be good if you like weissbier.

hah!

We were just talking about hunting for those again at work today :) Cheers chaps
Will be stockin up on then as they seem to run out pretty quick, thoroughly enjoyed every one of them last time.
My dad had a try of a few and he wasnt sold on them tho

Franziskaner is a great weissbier. It is usually available at my local Asda on a 4 for £6 deal so I guess that's a similar price if you buy 4 at a time.
My favourite weissbier is Paulaner, not so easy to get but I spotted a deal at Majestic Wine of 12 bottles for £21.00 and free delivery which seems good as Beerwulf are asking £2.29 per bottle.

Picked up a couple of boxes of the Belgian packs from LIDL today for £11 each, also got a few Franziskaner weissbiers (£1.50 each LIDL again), and a couple of Rheinbacher weissbiers from ALDI (£1.25 each).

Nice looking Dutch Bok Beer pack at Beerwulf! Beware the suggested saving of 22% though as the full price quoted includes delivery if it were to be charged. As we all know delivery is free on all full boxes so it is a bit sneaky to add that in. The real saving is closer to 14%. Good selection of Boks though!
