In that instance, I don't think people would be saying that all Trump supporters are murderers, nor would they be calling for the banning of supporting Trump or that all Trump supporters should be deported.
Furthermore, it's not the criticism of Islam that's a problem — Islam has plenty of issues. It's the suggestion that, because a minority of Muslims commit despicable acts in the name of Islam we should ban the entire religion, stop Muslims from entering the country and expel those who are already here. If one is proposing those sorts of solutions, they can hardly be surprised if people think they are racist.

What about the sexism inherant in the culture,
What about the 1000s of women kidnapped, raped, forced to convert and then married into Islam?

Well put it this way I had a lot of Pakistani mates and they all ate non halal, drank booze, took drugs, went clubbing, slept around. Would you classify them as Muslim even though they identify as Muslims?
It's the ones who are praying 5 times a day, going to mosques and meeting with hate preachers. Forcing their women to wear hijabs. Preaching hate and spreading hate. Going on marches shouting British soldier must die, British police go to hell. They are the ones that you really need to worry about as they are far more likely to go and kill in the name of Islam than fake Muslims out enjoying their lives freely without being shackled to Mecca 5 times per day.
If I told you, you had to do yoga 5 times per day every day at specific times and you done this from an early age guess what you also would be a yoga fanatic most likely.
The elements of the religion are too overbearing and take over the true believers lives to the point they start killing in the name of it. It's an extreme religion which therefore breeds extremists.
Essentially the males are free to do what they want and a lot are forced to go to the mosque by parents to try and brainwash them.
