Belgian Grand Prix 2014, Spa-Francorchamps - Race 12/19

Shut up, you have to take your chance. It was a poor move but you don't wait until lap 35.

The move around the outside wasn't on, he tried down the straight, absolutely fine, he kept going around the corner with no chance of passing, not okay.

People are saying don't risk it early in the race because, drivers settle into a rhythm into a race. Brakes and tires warm up and become more predictable, the cars are unpredictable in the first few laps and taking reckless risks is silly.

lol, it won't happen, do you know why. Vettel cheated against his team mate, he got team orders multiple times, and as WE ALL SAID THE WHOLE TIME.... Vettel just isn't a very good driver. He rarely makes brilliant over takes, he's a boring driver, it's not that he won, it's that he won in a truly superior car, taking advantage of team orders while not looking that good.

The car is behind at the moment and Ricciardo has been ridiculously good to watch, he's been involved in multiple brilliant over takes, he's faster, he's a better driver. He's great to watch, which is why so many people like Alonso and Hamilton, not because he's english or because of who he is, because he's exciting to watch.

Vettel isn't exciting to watch by and large(everyone has an exciting race now and then), Button isn't good to watch, Rosberg gets beaten by most when on level pegging, with all the advantages better drivers keep him behind or get ahead of him all the time. He's one of the more exciting drivers out there still but he's clearly not at that top level.

Alonso beats Hamilton loads over the past several years..... yet we all like him.

It's almost like all the really exciting drivers are liked highly and the boring drivers who rely on cheating/team orders or pure luck(while being beaten often when not having luck). The boring drivers are called boring, when they are boring, regardless of if they are winning or not.

How many people questioned how good Vettel really was because you know, we could watch him and see a lack of top notch quality, just in a top car against a poor team mate. How many others went "4 titles, he's clearly the bestest"... who was right?

Who are great drivers is really easy to spot, I like multiple direct rivals to Hamilton across the past 6 years, and dislike the boring drivers, rival or not.

is this the first time i have completely agreed with you?
good post

tbh the only time vettel is exciting to watch is if hes being caught and makes a mistake

Watching the replays, is this as bad an incident as everyone seems to think it is?
The contact didn't seem too bad.
Everyone clearly wants some rope and a Nico to pop his head through a noose, but could the same contact have caused zero damage, or next to none and not effected the result of the race?
Maybe I am missing the issue, but it seems a massive overreaction from everyone against Nico.

The forum's heavily biased towards Hamilton... :p

Racing incident, shouldn't have happened but it does now and again. Time to move on to the next race.

Not really sure what your point is, if he hits him but it doesn't end his race... hitting him is fine? Really?

Rosberg hurt his own car and race, for a contact that was 100% avoidable, through inept driving, at a point where he has 0% chance to overtake. There is no chance to overtake when Hamilton is into the corner first, at that point even being that close is nuts. It is a very bad contact because there was literally nothing to gain from being that close, dropping back, braking earlier and taking a better and safer line in the corner would have given him a better exit to stay close to him.

The fact that rosberg turns away then turns back is ... ridiculous. He saw the danger hence the first turn, then turned back in for no reason at all.
