Belgian Grand Prix 2014, Spa-Francorchamps - Race 12/19

Rubbish, he knew Lewis was quicker which is why he was so desperate to get in front.

Rosberg also just said that he regretted the contact because he didn't get the win, not because he was sorry for taking Lewis out.

What an *******.

Exactly, and he's saying conflicting things. Not as ever as you think you are Nico.

How do you work that out? Hamilton was on the racing line and didn't deviate from it, Rosberg was never alongside and an overtake was never going to happen.

It was a racing incident, but it was caused by Rosberg.

The guy is trolling or not really with it? ;)

so 55/45 leaning of rosberg in terms of fault, nothing much in it

100% Rosberg's fault, he saw Hamilton, he turned away and he turned back in to him.. Did Hamilton turn Rosberg's steering wheel, did anyone, did Rosberg have to do that at that second. He misjudged it, but it was effectively entirely his fault. The stewards believe he misjudged turning in behind Hamilton hence no penalty, the alternative is he turned in deliberately which would get a penalty and the stewards don't think he did that, hence no penalty.

did hamilton leave enough space?

did hamilton turn in on rosberg while they were partially side by side?

Regardless of whos falut it was (even when its clear)

I'm amazed with all the issues Hammy has had this year he's only as far behind as he is in terms of points. Hopefully this will make a Championship win (I hope but you know his luck) all the sweeter

Nico knew exactly what he was doing.

Closing of the season, team wont like it but will prioritise Nico in ANY touching event now to take home the championship, so he got it out of the way now so Hamiliton will be told for the good of it he has to keep clear of Nico.

Nico cant race, that's obvious, he cant overtake well that was shown, even in a much better car.

Rosberg was never alongside. He only got near to being along side because he braked loads later than Lewis. He then had nowhere to go. He should have just taken the run off like vettel did when he failed that move on the 1st lap.

Yup, well when hamilton's car has been issue free or hasn't been hit, on track in race he has demolished Rosberg. Only when his car has failed or qualifying got screwed up a couple times that wasn't his fault, has Rosberg won.

I did love the Nico interview with the questions..

"it's be described as clumsy or inexperienced, not necessarily cynical...."

that line is so accusatory it is fantastic :p

Overall if Hamilton and Rosberg had completely clean qualifying and racing with no failures, Hamilton would probably win 15+ races with Rosberg winning the others.

Rosberg isn't massively slower or massively far behind and everyone has favourite tracks and worst tracks and so there will be races Rosberg wins, and both drivers will make mistakes in race and qualifying, sometimes you'll get lucky and a mistake will happen and not effect you, another time it will drop you a place.

Without the luck/reliability/contact, Rosberg wouldn't be within 50 points of Hamilton right now.

No he didn't. He made a mistake, a driving error that any other time doesn't take up 20 pages. There's no way he would risk his own car and front wing and race in the hope he would end Hamiltons race.

Personally I think the one time Rosberg should have had an event was a few races ago where he had to go off track to stop them touching. That would have forced them to curb Lewis's aggression in moves on him rather than make a mistake where he looks a **** wit. He would have had more to gain then than now.

He knew...exactly...what he was doing, damage his wing for what he could do to Lewis, which is what he wanted, he clearly was going to pull out but turned the wheel in at the last second to send a message.

He could have lost the whole front wing and still been okay.

Rubbish, he could have just as easily damaged his own car and done none to lewis car. Last race of the season while needing to win on points maybe, 8 races to go. No chance.
