Belinea 102035W

At the moment I'm using my monitor in a dual monitor setup till my mobo arrives. I've having difficulty in getting it to display at its native resolution - does anyone know how to get it there? I've installed the driver for it, and that went without a hitch...

Received mine last week. Also had trouble with Citilink. Shame OcUK don't offer more choice with couriers.

Mine monitor also has backlight bleed from all four corners which appears to be a common fault with this brand. However like a lot of others I am very happy with the monitor and intend to stick with it.

Prad.de the probably best tft review organisation in germany published it's belinea 102035W review today.

Here a short summary:
-very recommended for players (hardcore gamers may still prefer smaller tn panels)
-very recommended for dvd playback
-bad tings: no dvi cable, can't change the hight of the display

Here a very intresting comparison they made: They recorded the doom timedemo from the CRT Eizo T563-T and the belinea synchronal. Hit the pause button to compare the images!

My original 102035W had no less than 8 dead/lazy pixels, 2 were dead center.

I contacted Belinea direct and they shipped a replacement to arrive at my convenience. My new one has 0 dead pixels, and just slight backlight bleed in all 4 corners.

What a screen, what a price. Fully recommended :)

new monitor arrived this morning @ 8:55am!! now thats what i call warranty service!

no dead pixels and from what I can tell no bleeding, will test further tonight..

Can not fault maxdata on this impeccable service.

:D

The bottom of the silver speaker panel is 90mm off the desk and the LCD panel is 140mm off the desk.

Nice to see the monitor running alongside a CRT (though the CRT they have selected seems of questionable quality).

little summary of that german review translated ( sort of lol )

Result

The Belinea 102035W represents an excellent cost-performance ratio with a road price of approximately 500.00 EUR. The image quality can convince and owing to overdrive place also quick picture contents the model before no unsolvable tasks. Despite the favourable price the quality of workmanship is convincing. The Belinea 102035W does not show real weaknesses.

To mark critically is the spartanische ergonomic equipment. One looks for a vertical adjustment or a pivot function anyhow in vain. Also the badly accessible USB connection and the missing DVI cable must be mentioned at least. With such a favourable price however some compromises are necessary and from our view are painable these.

Well, I got my replacement today and have just fired it up about 10 minutes ago.

First off - no dead/stuck/lazy pixels at all! Hoozah. The one I sent back had one right in the middle.

Backlight bleeding - is still there in each corner, but seems less obvious and the monitor seems to have a more even overall glow (as it's never really black on these is it)

All in all this one's a keeper I think.

my new one appears to be the same as your new one wunkley, It seems after having the monitor on for longer than 10mins for example lets the monitor warm up, and I can see some leakage but no were near as bad as my old one.

I will see how this one prevails, seems a lot better than the old one.

Hi all,

Quick question, Im looking at buying a 102035W for christmas, but im not sure how my current graphics card will run?

Its an XFX 256mb 6600GT (agp)

Any thoughts? Anyone running a similar card with this monitor?

It would be used for gaming, and watching dvds.

Hi all. I've been following this thread as I'm seriously considering upgrading my 17"Iiyama TFT for this one. Something of a christmas pressie to me.
The games I play are mainly COD (no probs there), Guild Wars, and Warcraft Reign of Chaos.
I've looked at the widescreengaming.com site, and for Guild Wars it says "native" and Warcraft it says "none".
I presume that means Warcraft will have borders, but could someone please tell me what "native" means.

Sorry for being a noob :o
