Belinea 102035W

Well i've just plugged in my new monitor, christmas day, and no dead pixels and it's a beauty! No regrets on anything. It may take my eyes to adjust a little bit from about 6-7 years of CRT monitors but this LCD really is nice.

Sinque any backlight bleed? How're you finding gaming? :)

Really interested in how this will compare to the Viewsonic 3ms 20.1" due next year. :)

If you count WoW as gaming it's perfect :D

Backlight bleed? I don't really know what this is ( Noob alert I know... ) The monitors been on for about 1 hour now and I don't see any problems. The only thing is in the bottom right corner I can see a VERY small line of purple, green and such, pixels. But you cannot notice it if you don't look for it. :)

If this isn't what you mean sorry I couldn't help.

Edit : Just played 5minutes of Condition Zero, Counter-Strike, there was no ghosting and it played really nice. Fully recommend!

The little line in the bottom right is gone, there is nothing around the edge of the screen now.

Im gettin my 4th replacement monitor on the 4th january 2006.

maxdata UK customer care have told me if there is an issue with this monitor, that i should speak directly to them instead of there support centre in the netherlands. One of there techies in the netherlands told me that the new monitor would be one that was built on a diffrent date and that it would be another new one and not a refurb.

maxdata hq in germany are aware of the issues with this monitor and are investigating the problems I have had and see if there is an issue with monitors built on the date that I have had ( 20 / 11 / 05 )

Hopefully my 4th one will be sorted, otherwise maxdata have told me to return the monitor to the reseller with a note from themselves saying they are not able to do anymore and to get a refund etc..

Hi guys, got my Belinea a few days ago. Its my 1st TFT, Ive had my 19"CRT for years. Ill admit to a slight trepidation while hunting dead pixels. I found one stick to red. Though its in the extreme left hand corner, its virtually impossible to see unless you hunt for it.

Battlefield 2 looks stunning, far better than my CRT. No ghosting at all even flying jets. General build quality seems reasonable, the name 'Belinea' wasn't on my list of LCD manufacturers to begin with. But for this sort of money you cant really go wrong.

After reading this thread Ive been impressed with Maxdata customer support. Nice to know that if you do have issues they don't blank you.

I just ordered one yesterday... I have a question, will it be shipped tomorrow? There's some confusion going around as to whether CityLink delivers or not and I found another place that has the monitor but with free shipping and they say they can ship it today. Would it be possible to cancel my OcUK order at this stage or not?

should not be a problem, your within your rights to cancel.

try ringing them tommorow or send them a webnote confirming you wish to cancel.

ocuk are open tommorow and from what i can gather citylink are doing deliveries this week.

Just researched about backlight bleed and I put a black screen up and there is some backlight bleed in all 4 corners - not noticable if you dont look for it though.

What if your watching a DVD that is dark? or a dark game like doom3? do you notice it then?

Thanks.

Should have one of these turning up today to replace my iiyama Prolite E481S. Im not sure if im going to go multi-monitor or just use the Belinea instead. There's nothing wrong with the E481S and its got a perfect screen, no dead pixels. Im hoping the Belinea is the same. Funny thing is i've not really noticed much in the way of ghosting on the iiyama and its supposed to be a 25ms screen, so its unlikely i'll notice ghosting on the Belinea when i get it. Hopefully i'll not be disappointed with it.

I received mine this morning, it is excellent, there are no issues with the pixels and as far as backlight bleeding goes it is pretty acceptable for me (I'd rather have it than a massive 1 tonne crt!). The only issue I have is when the whole screen is black and moving the white mouse around, it kind of vanishes, not sure what it is. Gaming performance is super :)

Mine has just turned up. Glad to report, no dead pixels (that i've noticed). There is some backlight bleeding as most other people have mentioned, but i can live with it.

why have some of the posts in this thread gone?

I passed on the details of this forum again to maxdata UK today unaware now that it looks like half the valuable posts have gone.
