Belinea 102035W

I'd forgotten about that, so I can send it back if I'm not happy with it. Awesome!

You've convinced me. Order placed. Let's just hope it's all 100% pixel happy. :)

I have no dead pixels either.. Perfect screen.. I am just going to get a replacement DVI cable and then hopefully I can use that rather than VGA I am currently using..

I have had a good look at the cable, the connectors look good, however I think it is the cable its self, when i bend the cable it works perfect...

Think i'll get another make one.. Bit disapointed as this one cost me £39.99! gold connections etc etc

£40??!?!?!?!

Damn

Take it back and get a refund mate, it definately sounds like a dodgy cable if it works when you bend it.

Remember though, just because it costs lots, doesnt mean its good!!

Got my monitor today, had to go down the depot at 8am and get it because i did not want citylink messing me about again.

No Dead Pixels!! :D

but im getting backlight bleeding on the top and bottom right corners, i can notice it if i have my wallpaper set to black etc, don't wanna rma it because knowin my luck i could get a new one with deadpixels which would annoy me more than the backlight issue.

Sexeh monitor tho! :D

Well worth the £££ and I would recommend it to all!

I'm a really picky bugger when it comes to stuff like this and that backlight bleeding would have just bugged me constantly,

I thought i could live with this backlight bleeding but im like yourself im picky and this is bugging me, doesn't help because the screen is so big you notice the bleeding more in dvd's etc.

wunkley have you msn mate?

Would like to talk to you with regard to this monitor if possible

my msn is [email protected] if anyone wishes to add me.

I have decided to call belinea tommorow and get this replaced.

Just like to ask what is this tft like with games ? any good, cuz ive just sent back my xerox because it was a tn panel plus i was looking at the 3 year warranty on the xerox, i found out their warranty isnt good after the 2nd year, not only that, when i tried to contact them about the xerox i was sent from one department to another and thought if this happens then what it would be like if my monitor goes?....

I don't have msn no - quite happy to thrash out the discussion on here though to be honest, and it will help out others who have or are looking to buy this monitor.

I was supposed to be getting this picked up and swapped today for a new one, however they are out of stock at the moment so will have to wait a few days. Have now wasted a day's holiday as I've taken the day off anyway (still at least I get to miss our work Christmas 'party', which quite frankly will be dull as No disguised swearing).

I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it now. As others on here have the same problem, chances are it's a fault with most of them and I could get one just as bad or worse.
It sounds a bit like the Dell 20" widescreen problem again having looked at some of the other threads on here...

Can anyone who has this monitor confirm they have no, or very minimal backlight leakage? Set your desktop to black, hide any icons and your taskbar and have a look. Take and post pics if possible.

Well, have decided to take the risk, have now arranged an exchange for Monday. May as well, might get a better one and it doesn't cost anything.

Means I will have to lug the box to work on the train which should be fun!

I have to say Belinea's customer service is really good. Very efficient those Germans :D

I definitely have some bleeding, but it's not excessive in my opinion. It certainly isn't bad enough to make me want to replace it. I will try to take some pics tonight and post them for you to have a look at.

To Crashuk - This monitor is excellent for games! Been playing COD2 and I'm loving it!!! The widescreen aspect is sooooooo much better. No ghosting (as far as I can see) either, and colours are excellent! It's also very good for video - I downloaded some sample HD video from MS and it looks bloody amazing!

I'd have to say, apart from the backlight issue, it is a really good LCD for gaming.
Response time is fast and there's very little noticeable ghosting.
Best test for this is I find is to run dxdiag and run the direct draw test with the bouncing white cube on a black background. On my big hitachi LCD it has really obvious ghosting/ trails, on this Belinea, while no means as perfect as my CRT, there is just a slight sense that the cube 'isn't keeping up with itself' is the best way I can describe it.

Even without the backlight bleeding I'm still a bit dissapointed with the general black levels though. I think my big Hitachi, which only has a 500:1 contrast ratio is actually better for black which I wasn't expecting at all.

Quick update on mine..

Got a new DVI cable, decided to go for a cheaper make, different branded one..

Plugged in, no problems.. pefect picture first time! And I got a £15 refund off my old one! - Result!

I am really pleased with my screen, took a little while to get use to from CRT, however it is fantastic..

Yea there is light bleeding.. To be honest I think you are going to get it in all of them.. But it really does not bother me..

I rarely watch a film on my pc.. Thats what I have a HD plasma in my living room for!

Gaming is super fantastic on widescreen.. There is no ghoasting at all, colours are good and the picture is ultra sharp. I am so please with mine I am tempted to get another one!! hehe

Like I said before, if you are tempted by this screen stop being silly.. BUY IT NOW :D

DVI no signal before WinXp

Great monitor, 0 dead pixels, excelent price.
After one week, I bought DVI cable and after booting I get no signal from my Saphirre GTO2. The signal pop-up at the same time with logging into WinXp. *** problem is, I cant access bios. The only solution is to have both cables, analoque and digital. Anybody experienced the same, can anybody help?

Well after a lot of decision making , i bought meself one of these to replace a VP191b.

I was really concerned with the widescreen gaming aspect and some games not supporting the res.

A quick look on widescreengaming.com and a quick hack to the Bf2 exe and im now gaming at 1680x1050

Just hope fear can run at this res with an x1800xt

The monitor itself , is cool

Didnt have to do any tweaking, just default settings out of the box with DVI cable supplied with the Viewsonic

No dead Pixels either.
