Belinea 102035W

The bleed is noticable when the screen is black, but very minor, only seems to effect the very edge of the bottom two corners. i will post a pic later

I am 100% certain i'm going to order one, but not until after christmas.

Will OcUK have them still in stock for the weeks to come? :)

Impossible to know. We took everything Germany had to give and they are selling extremely fast due to them been so cheap. Stock may last it may not.......

That doesn't look too bad - that's an even glow over the whole screen which is what you get with TFTs in the dark. The problem with the one above was the very bright stripes heading towards the centre of the screen!

Thanks :)

no bleed whatsoever on my belinea... in fact the colours seem way more vivid and the blacks richer and darker than my previous 19" samsung tft

Mine is now sat at home, been delivered ok. Fingers crossed I don't have any problems!!

I'll let you all know what I thought of it later tonight! I will be popping into a store to try and find a DVi cable too, Ill test in both VGA and DVi

Well I am on mine right now..

Currently using VGA. What can I say? I am over the moon!

Pretty sure I have no dead pixels, no marks, there is obvious light bleeding, however it does not bother me.. I rarely stare at a black screen so there is no need to worry about it.

Colours are super sharp, and the quality is outstanding... Strange from looking at a CRT to a TFT but there is no way I am going back..

Design is simply 100% better than the dell imo.

Really please.. If you were thinking about getting this monitor..

DO RIGHT NOW!!! BUY BUY BUY!

Well done again OCuK

I've got mine on order, but unfortunately one or two items in my order are on "pre-order" status.. I just hope they don't run out of stock of this monitor whilst I'm waiting for the other components, or at least OcUK reserve items that are on order.. :|

Painz, can you get a pic up of your light bleed please?

would be nice to see some more examples :)

i keep hovering over the buy button, but i know i should wait till after Xmas so i know where i stand with money.

Thanks for all your advice folks. I took the executive decision to get a replacement!
I called Belinea/Maxdata today and they are sending out a new one on Thursday and taking away the other, simple as that.

I'm a really picky bugger when it comes to stuff like this and that backlight bleeding would have just bugged me constantly, and the dead pixel in the midle of the screen.

I'm just praying the replacement is better, and obviously not worse than this one! Will let you know...

Hmm,

Right just got a DVi cable and plugged it in..

Booted the PC up again and all my colours are buggered!

Black is red.. blue is pink... What am I doing wrong??

I have never ever used the DVi socket on my gfx card before...

Do i need to change a setting somewhere??

EDITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Was getting scared then, not sure why colours were not working correctly, installed the proper drives off belinea website.. Still daft colours.. then after reading the manual to try and trouble shoot it just randomly went back to the correct colours!!!

Not sure if the DVi cable is any better?

I don't even know what the advantages are of the DVI cable LOL

Should the image be any better??

Any, this monitor is truely awesome... super impressed. I'll try and get some pics in the next few days :D

Best of luck mate hopefully your new one will be completely dead pixel free.

citylink are crap, they never attempted to deliver my monitor today, all day the tracking status says currently on van. Phoned them up and they lie about "ye it will be with you before 5:30pm" liars!

Would i be able to get a credit back on the carriage from overclockers?

as i paid for nextday and it never came next day.. overclockers could claim the fee back off citylink for failure of delivery nextday do you think?

Right had the problem again with the colours..

Everything has gone crazy again... Blue is pink.. black is red etc etc.. Everything is messed up.

I am using a DVI cable and it is boody annoying me.

The problem seems to be with the connection on the back of the monitor.. or maybe the DVI cable its self,

If you much around with it it sometimes shows the proper picture but most of the time its just the wrong colours..

Think ill have to try another brand of DVI cable and if thats not the problem it must be a dodgy DVI connection on the monitor.

Are you sure it's securely plugged in? I'm only asking because it is a tight fit at the back of the monitor for the DVI cable, and it took a bit of fiddling for me to get it in properly. I even bent a pin when I first tried to get it in, and I had to bend it back with long nose pliers! Other than this, I would suspect a bad cable maybe?

Also realised how to get 1:1 scaling for smaller resolutions - just pick "centred" in display settings. I prefer this to stretching the pixels. I tried NFS Most Wanted, and my cars were looking really fat with the scaling on. It looks much better with 1:1 aspect. Managed to get Quake 4 on 1680x1050 by editing the config file. Looks good!

I've been holding out for a WS TFT for months now and I'm not sure I can wait much longer. Basically I'm very drawn to the Belinea but I have a afew worries.

1. Someone posted that it wouldnt' do 1:1 with borders and someone else said that it wouldn't interpolate (at least with DVI). Can anyone guarantee that it can definitely do both? EDIT: Just read the post above, so is this the way to do it? Does that work through VGA and DVI?

2. The dead pixel thing is my big worry (coming from a 19" CRT). Like many people I'd be mortified if I had even one so do I go for the Belinea or wait for the new Viewsonic WS (not the 19" one) as VS offer a zero dead pixel guarantee. Does OCUK offer a dead pixel check that I could pay extra for? I think it might be worth it just for peace of mind.

Any help appreciated.

Go for the Belinea - don't forget that you have the Distance Selling Act to fall back on. If you get dead or lazy pixels, you can always return it to OC UK within 7 days.

As for the scaling, it definitely does both with DVI, but not tried VGA.
