Belinea 102035W

I have seen a lot worse but if it is annoying you then try and send it back. I would say yours is a bit worse than mine but mine doesnt bother me as Its not that noticeable on a black screen and I dont often have a screen thats fully black anyway. difficult to say if it would get better or worse really. I dont really know what to suggest.

Thats it! I could not contain myself anymore...

Just ordered a 102035W and also treated myself to a new keyboard and mouse from logitech!

I was looking at the apple / dell alts, however the price really swung it for me!

I am big into my games so a fast response time and no ghoasting was my main concerns! Price was very sexy too!

I'll get some pics up when I get it! Hopefully I may get it by Tuesday!!

Quality!!!

Just had an e-mail from oclockers! My monitor and keyboard have been dispatched already! Awesome.. that is some speedy service! Should be with me tomorrow then!!

All I need to do now is buy myself a DVi cable? I am pretty sure one doesnt come with it does it?

I had a quick flick on the overclockers website to see if they sold them? First glance I could not see one? Maybe this is a product they should start selling? Maybe if gibbo reads this he may start stocking some!

Ill take some pics and let you guys know what I think tomorrow!

Cheers

sgoaty - looking at my second pic - would you send it back if you were me?

I really don't want to go through the hassle if I can help it. It is bugging me though, and probably always will.
I'm quite new to TFTs - could it get better by any chance, do they 'settle down', or is it likely to get worse, anyone know?

although I'm not sgoaty ;), I thought I would reply to this anyway, to be honest, I would get a replacement. The bleeding is actually quite bad, the hassle will be worth it if you get a better replacement. That leakage would drive me nuts, I just dont think I could turn all the lights out and watch a dvd or play games like FEAR or Thief and not be distracted by it. You've shelled out over £300, you deserve better!! :p

Hmmm I just don’t know what to do! Should I get this monitor I have a 19 inch CRT at the moment and I use it for games mostly but I want to get a new one and use it with a freeview pci card to watch TV and that’s why I would like a wide screen display but now im all worried about dead pixels and light bleeding and poor game performance im not that picky should I get this monitor?

Thanks for any help

I have been with my trustful CRT since I started gaming, 6 years ago!

about a year ago I played my first game of halflife on a TFT. That was on my mum and dads value dell tft. That's fantastic... never a problem with ghoasting or light bleeding.

I am concerned about dead pixels.. That is why I nearly went for the dell 20inch widescreen.

But i really wanted a screen that looked half decent and not and OEM product..

That is why when I found this I had to buy it!

Fingers crossed I don't get any dead pixels nor the light bleeding is to bad!!

Full review coming soon!

I do have some minor light bleed on mine, but not as bad as my q17+, which is noticeable as a band of light all around the edge! It's certainly not bothering me anyway. I'll see if I get chance to take a pic of it.

Regarding the scaling on DVI, I am using a DVI cable, and when I play NFS Most Wanted, it stretches the image - definitely no borders!

Is the streching a bad point?
As i wouldnt want to get this monitor and find id HAVE to play games on it full resolution not to get streching (streching = worse quality?)

Hello wunkley. I can see from your post that your really concerned about your monitor and definitely not happy. I think one or two members are trying not to hurt your feelings, but others have told you to exchange it, I agree with them, the light bleed is terrible and would be, even for a cheap TFT monitor.

I have the Viewsonic VP930, took this picture in a dark room with a black wallpaper on display. The whole of the display is the wallpaper, not just the centre bit and you can see from the over exposure of the Icons that I used a slow shutter speed, the only light on the edge of the frame is the reflection of my TV across the room.

All TFT's will have some back light issue due to their nature, but it should be slight and even all over at its best, just a little bleeding from the corner toward the centre at the worst, Yours is completely washed out.

Have a look at mine in this topic and see the difference for yourself. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=5934468&postcount=92

Just added this monitor to my order - now just waiting for Asus to get a move on with the A8N32.. and I'm all set ;)

Recieved mine this morning, no dead pixels yeh, I did feel like i was going to brake the stand though pushing it back into place.

I haven't noticed any ghosting as yet and dvd playback appears to bring a clear crisp image, going from a 17" crt i was a little apprehensive but none of my fears have been realised, and all this just using the vga connection, can't wait till i pick up a cable to try the DVI. Im another convert TFT is here to stay
