Benetiz confirms he leaves at the end of the season

Wouldn't surprise me if he's gone in less than 12 hours time. Chelsea fans are pathetic, listening to some of these 'comments' from them.

He isn't saying anything wrong but it's only going to make things worse with the fans. The board won't replace him now surely?

There will always be someone willing to go there though, Rijkaard or someone would jump at the chance.

I wonder if they'll sack him now. Obviously massive problems.

He was an idiot for taking the job, the Chelsea fans haven't helped themselves either though.

If AVB was allowed to manage Chelsea as he saw fit they would be in a far better position than they are now. Might not have won the Champions League last season but they would have had a fantastic young manager with a bright future ahead of them.

Unfortunately he lost the players because he dropped the old guard/troublemakers which is something he didn't do at Porto and hasn't done at Spurs. Coincidence? I think not, he was following orders just as Rafa has done by playing Torres week in week out when it's obvious to everyone and his hamster he's shot.

The problem isn't the manager, it isn't the fans it's the man at the very top.

I would say the Chelsea supporters are deserving of their club but like Pigeon says its the owner who's shaped them into the classless douches they are, they're just following his lead :o

chelsea are a embarrassment to english football really disgusting treatment to managers that have made them successful and tbh the fans aren't any better how they acted towards benetiz the second he joined

Cant really disagree with anything you have said. RA just doesnt let his managers do their job, he interferes far too much in the daily affairs of Chelsea tbh.

I actually don't see what the bloke has done wrong, if Chelsea fans are unhappy they should direct their anger at the Chelsea board.

You would think eh?? and this has always puzzled me as to why Chelsea fans take their anger out on the managers they have rather than taking it out on their meddling owner

Problem i see with Chelsea is that the owner, RA wants success straight away rather than let a manager come in and build a foundation to make the team successful for the future. You would think after winning the CL last season that he would back off, as that was his biggest aim...he got it but yet still interferes ie getting shot of RDM as soon as things werent going right and appointing Benitez wasnt exactly going to go well was it now??.

Yeah, it was fatal, it's certainly a mistake he will learn from. This is why there was this backlash over not giving Terry/Lampard/Cole new contracts ,due to the way they treated AVB. Abramovich should have held his nerve..

It's not solely RA's fault though, he obviously has a passion for football, you can't argue with that. It's the player/owner communication that has broken down, he should have whipped Terry and co into shape well before this.

Listening to him it seems that he didn't know about the 'interim' part until Chelsea actually announced it!

Guess the probable answer to this is the fact the meddling owner basically has his foot on the clubs jugular if they pee him off there's a fair chance he'll tell them to stick the club and bail out.

Then the multi million signings and success theyve come to see as the norm will probably disappear with him!

Appointing benitez actually took the flack off Roman for getting rid of Do Matteo, the fans were too busy making 'Benitez out' banners to bother chanting about the owner :p

Was never going to work for Rafa there, was never going to get backing of a massive amount of ****houses, they can continue having their 16th minute memorial of the late RDM (RIP YNWA), going to run out of managers to come manage a club that is **** from top to bottom.

Has he cracked again? Funny enough it was before he was due to come to OT that he cracked the last time..... hope that don't mean Chelsea are going to beat us 1-4 in the cup :(

If by before you mean any time scale before going to ot since you know his famous 'rant' was in what, January, and we thumped you in what, middle of March?
