I was waiting for someone to chip in and say this, you've got a very valid point about words exchanged between managers/clubs/players, this happens all the time as we know...surely though fans have got to realise its just slating, like cricket, nothing is meant by it at the end of the day, it's mind games. It's what gives football a great uniqueness.
Football is a cauldron!
It's not that simple. Maybe between managers it's slating but supporters, especially when your passion and/commitment is being questioned, are going to take it personally. You still see comments from Liverpool supporters aimed at Moyes after he came out with the 'peoples club' line when he got the Everton job.
As I initially said though, the level and constant abuse he's getting is ott.
interesting point made on talksport this morning, forget the guys name but he believes that chelsea for Roman is just a property ownership guise and he isnt really too bothered about the club itself - he brought up the points about the bitter battle for battersea power station etc.
I'm sure there are many non-football reasons as to why RA bought Chelsea but I don't think you can accuse him of not caring. The constant hiring and firing of managers, while in many people's views was stupid, it's a clear sign that he's bothered about the performances on the pitch. It would be much easier for him to have done nothing if he didn't care. His reaction to winning the CL was very telling too.
