So I'm getting a lot of Display Link errors and the refresh rate not sticking, hate to power the power off and on to be re-detected when using the DP cable, actually starting to think that the cable is why it was returned as it was contained in a separate envelope in the box with the RMA number on it. Waiting to borrow a cable tomorrow to test, everything is flawless when using the DVI but it limits the refresh rate.

Ok finally sitting down with mine now.
Happy to report no dead pixel I've got a 670 GTX so can't really test freesync yet but I'm using it with the display port and the included cable.
What do you mean by display link errors? like it keep disconnecting?

The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate on your DisplayPort display. Your display might not support the requested resolution or there may be an issue with the cable connecting the display to your computer

So when connected through display port on first boot it is set to 2560x1440@60hz, I have to power down the monitor and turn it back on to be able to set it to 2560x1440@144hz. It can definitely handle 144hz as I was playing a bit of Diablo 3 without issue.

Once it is set it seems ok until I restart the PC at which point i need to repeat the process. Right now I'm using the DVI cable and it's running perfectly albeit at 60hz

Ahh ok make sense. Just logged RMA on benq website uploaded receipt using the PDF from email.
BTW vade whats your on time with your monitor mine showing Monitor on 227H and backlight on time 42h.
And yeah i'm on V001.

Why not give them a ring and ask to see if there is any indication on the outer box on production date? my one says February which is 100% V001, I've read somewhere that people who got one from productiion date April is on V002.

Just ran the windmill freesync demo and can honestly say, AMA High is the best setting, the difference between Off and High is incredible. Premium gives an overshoot kind of ghost on the wing blade but u really have to look for it. I'm on V2 firmware btw. Should really get some pics but my phone camera is not the best.

Well there is one new in stock...I wonder if it's newer fixed firmware stock or whether I'd still have to rma with benq.

I messaged them last night and got this reply at 9am this morning

"Thank you for your webnote, I could not say for sure as we have mixed batches from our suppliers and manufactures so we could not say for sure that you would receive the latest version."

I guess the OCUK staff have no way of telling unless something is put on the outside of the box.

I am going to wait for a batch of units to come in and then purchase....then cross my fingers and toes. :D

Sad times

I love this monitor, it is truly amazing. I have moved to a 980Ti so I am now reluctantly putting it up for sale as I need Gsync.
