BenQ XL2730Z Freesync Owners Thread

I'm doing the same however if you are in uk you might still gamble on return from benq and if not a new panel send back to ocuk. I'll have a think about that.

Yup, you can return anything under CCR within 14 days, no reason needs to be given. Delivery cost can be pretty expensive though depending on who you use and what type of service you go for.

I do hope badass or pcm2 get an answer back about what exactly has changed with firmware V2 and these supposedly new panels but.... it has been quite a while since they asked :/

Ah BenQ do take their sweet time sometimes. :( Seems somebody has asked somebody else who asked somebody else. Bah.

So is the firmware issue with these all down to freesync, because I was considering picking one up to use with my new 980ti as the reviews are just so much better than gambling on ACER.

I believe the issue is with or without Freesync when using display port connected to an AMD GPU, AMA setting will not work.. So using Nvidia GPU you should be fine.

So I was expecting the monitor to be delivered on Wednesday but it looks like it could arrive today, if it does I'll try get some pics up tonight and see how the **B-Grade** is.

Edit: It has arrived but I am stuck in work, although I do feel a bit ill.... *cough* *cough*

Just a heads up,
Chief Blur Buster's been busy but I did tell him about the strobe issues even on the V2 firmware. He said he'll contact Benq about it. But no idea what will happen.

Fingers crossed it's a good one, I reckon you've got yourself a bit of a bargin there.

So far so good. No dead pixels, screen looks great but cannot get Freesync enabled. Tried turning blur reduction on and off but still no option in CCC. Reinstalling the amd drivers now.

So installing the latest AMD Beta drivers solved the issues I was having with enabling Freesync and setting the refresh rate to 144hz, as I said before there is no flaw with the screen itself, it's fantastic. Right now the plan is give it a day or two and if I decide to keep the screen I'll contact BenQ to arrange the RMA as it is indeed on the V001 firmware.

I had a lot less time than I would have liked to play around with the calibration and test some games but I managed a few pics here: http://imgur.com/a/dAZnV

I should have more time tomorrow to really get into it.
