BenQ XL2730Z Freesync Owners Thread

I'm not sure it was anyone on here but one XL2730Z came into stock about a week or so ago. I just wanted to know if it was a V2 firmware or not.

One just came into stock today, should take delivery tomorrow or Thursday, can't wait!!
Hope it's a V2, but doesn't seem like to much hassle to get it shipped for the update.
The money was bookmarked for this or a gfx card, but will be holding onto my single 290 for a wee while longer it seems.

I do suspect either the adaptor or cable but they've both been working fine since I got the monitor a few months ago.

Corruption on left side, perfectly fine on the right. But that's a gsync monitor.
Did you try unplugging the AC and having it powered off without a power plug for 30 seconds-1 minute? (you can press power button with it unplugged to fully discharge it faster).
If that doesn't work, try a new cable. Otherwise might be RMA :(

Hmm, no looks different on mine, it's a sort of pulsing of brightness and blurring of edges, hard to desribe.

I haven't got another gpu with DP to test but I did find a mini-DP to HDMI adaptor so I've connected it up via that and so far not seen any of the corruption running at 1080/60. I've tried switching to the same settings (1080/60) on the DP connection and that also seems fine (image quality is actually way better than HDMI at the same settings) so I tried going back to 1440p and dropping the refresh rate to 60Hz and touch wood so far that has been ok. I'm going to order a new mini-DP to DP cable tonight and fingers crossed that will fix it...

It looks like there is still one in stock. Has another one come in today? Anyway IainR if you can let me know if it's V2 or V1 that would be great.

I didn't place my order until close to 4pm, so won't be dispatched until tomorrow, which is when it would come off the inventory I imagine.
However I got dicked with a last minute tasking this evening and am now oop north, and not back till Friday night. It's being delivered to my camps mail room which means I won't get my hands on it until Monday morning. Just my bloody luck!
As soon as I get my grubby mitts on it I will let you know.

nice one you will enjoy your new monitor for sure ,, i'm still amazed everyday with mine and have even started playing some off my old games on it because they look so good ( assassin creeds unity) . :p:p:p

Its quite amazing how good your old games look at this high rez compared with the 4:3 800x 600 we ran many years ago lol
 
So I just got an email from OC...

"My warehouse manager has just informed me that the last in stock monitor which is in your order is damaged and unfit for sale. As these monitors are now End of Life with ourselves would you like me to completely refund the order for you? We do apologise for this disappointment sir."

Bummer :(
I thought they would at least be getting an updated batch in. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Might get the Fury tri-x and wait for the AOC Freesync coming in September. Decisions decisions.

What a shame ,, i wonder why their now end of line:confused:,, they only just came out , unless i'm not understanding it properly .. is there no other suppliers out there ....
 
That's the bit that surprised me the most as they are still available from BenQ and elsewhere. It's a strange one.
 
Place i get my stuff from, hasn't had any of these in for a while, but got em back in stock now, so must have been waiting on the v2s.

Can't see em being EOL'd, bloody cracking screens.
 
Well I sent another webnote asking if they are end of line on this revision, and are just waiting on a batch with v2 firmware from BenQ.
When they reply tomorrow I'll let you know the answer.
