Best Retro Handheld

I thought about that one, there are a few problem.

1 - shipping is like £19 on top!
2 - people commented about it making a weird sound when putting it in and out due to the tight fit…aka, scratching the surface.
3 - lots of people don’t use the bottom part to save space. Then it seems a waste to have it, and I would use it anyway because the vents at the bottom will collect dust in the bag without. If I don’t use it I probably end up losing it.

Did I mention the shipping is £19?

I think they are similar thickness, just the other one is have a more square corners.

Yeh, shipping is a lot!

I have learn last night that it’s best to scrape box art 1 system at a time.

I’ve tried 2 nights in a row of it trying to scrape the whole system and even though I have less games than its daily limit. I somehow hits the limit?

It scrapes more than 1 item for each game though.

Maybe I am wrong but my understanding was that "scrapes" means items? Not sure though now you're saying that.
I think that's right, each item counts as a scrape not the game itself, I don't scrape every possible thing anymore and especially not videos and manuals.

I signed up via Patreon for a couple of months, you get a higher daily limit of scrapes (50k) and help to support the team behind this amazing work.

Each item is a scrape request that counts towards the limit. Box art, video, metadata, reading, etc.

Why are you scrapping everything? Only scrape things that you are missing to avoid redundant requests. I always scrape either everything that is recent or everything that is missing metadata or box art.

Is the patreon a one off payment and you keep the benefits or do you need to subscribe monthly to keep the perks?

I scrape "missing Metadata". Did it 2 nights in a row and both nights hit the limit before it finished everything.

I guess I ticked everything but the video and manual.

I subscribed to it, then plan to cancel the membership once it's all set up. I believe you will get an email to download still when there is an update.

I can scrape around 1000 games before I hit my limit. That's scrapping metadata, boxart, community ratings, and videos.

Then when I scrape the next day it only scrapes the incomplete games and in 3 days I have everything in my library of 3000 games scraped.

The nice thing about using KNULLI/batocera though is I can easily just sync the scraped data between all of my Linux based devices and windows.

I also don't put every game on my devices so never hit the limit. Otherwise I find I have the Netflix style too much to choose from problem.

I prefer a curated list of core stuff, and then I just add more stuff over the network as and when.
