What advice/accounts would you give/open for someone that had the following and wanted to maximise savings over the next 2 years:
Can spare 200-500 a month to put into savings depending on month.
Currently has about 5k sat doing nothing in an ancient poor paying savings account.
Currently has about 1k of bitcoin sitting doing nothing.

barclays Rainy day saver @ 5.12% (on up to 5K)

If one puts 5k into said account tomorrow, does the interest start counting daily straight away? Or does it have to be in there X amount of time?

Hi all
I've currently got a Flexible saver with Natwest but always find myself dipping into it, Is there a way you could all recommend to help me stay away, Are there accounts that you don't have access to through the banking app.
In simple terms i want to be able to access it in times of need and not be made to wait a year like the ISA accounts
