Best way to loose the belly!!

right the healthy eating is now in full force, with running 3 times a week, darts once a week (i know its not exercise lol) and then squash twice i week.

reading around squash can burn a lot of caleries. as im looking to lose weight, im eating about 1600 caleries a day. how many should i be aiming to burn off? as many as possible? not sure what a couple mile run burns off. and what a hour of squash burns either. any ideas?

I think its how many calories your drinking, not eating that you need to be honest about m8 ;)

Well drink wise I'm being good now cutting the beer completly and aiming to drink only vodka and diet coke. That would be better?

I've just had a dam good hour of squash which really got the heart going and the muscles working. Heading for another game tomo and not going out over this weekend. If I do I will only be drinking the above!!
 
I don't buy into all this % MHR or HIIT stuff for beginners, if your out of shape then just do something, your not going to be wasting your time just because your a few beats per min high/low. Break into a sweat for 30 mins 3-4 times a week and you will see the benefits.

When you progress then start worrying about certain types of training.

This is basically it, if you are very unfit and start doing a religious HIIT session you are seriously going to injure yourself, shin splints at the very least, if running anyway,

I'm in a 5-a-side league now, need to get in a bit better shape for that :p

Is it true that the muscles in your stomach are just a small muscle group and easilly exercised with anything like running or cycling?

abs are worked great doing almost anything, if you can do 100 sit ups or a good 10-20 with a 10kg disc then you will have decent abs. Its the fat thats the problem.

And for the record, although i hope its a joke: Uber Soldat..... Fat does not turn to muscle m8, and to slim down from what most people think of as 'fat' with sit ups alone would take something like forever
 
HIIT is probably the quickest way. I get paid to keep fit at the moment as one of my jobs is cycling rickshaws! Damn it's hard work sometimes, especially when cycling a couple of 16 stone lads up one of Edinburghs finest hills, but the pay is immense and my quads are massive.
 
the past few days i've been eating well and played squash the last 2 night. really feeling it today though lol

giving it a miss tonight, but am playing again tomo night.

hopefully i will start to see something dropping off! lol

maybe it would be better for me to bulk up and keep the weight? obviously playing squash is sweating everything out of me. but maybe i should be bulking up rather than trying to lose the weight??

If you bulk first then lose weight you will be much happier with whats underneath. Im currently cutting down from a bulky 17st and although im still some way off being lean whats underneath is rather awesome looking and every day im shocked by what i see in the mirror. If i was not carrying as much muscle i would probably have given up already, i know some guys with low bodyfat who still have moobs just because there is no Pec there to shape the tissue.
