Why wouldn't we get the Pro Wi-Fi? It seems the sweet spot for me (want integrated Bluetooth), along with Taichi.
sorry, not sure if Gigabyte UK will be forcing Pro wifi or non wifi only . some people dont need it and will save a few pennies like this ...
My basket at Overclockers UK:
- 1 x Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WIFI Intel Z390 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard= £194.99
- 1 x Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Intel Z390 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard= £179.99
Total: £386.08 (includes shipping: £11.10)
not a lot but £15-20 could mean going from say 3700x to 3800x or nvidia super cards etc
Been comparing the specs and manual of the pro wifi and ultra. All I can spot are the finned second VRM, the 3rd M2 (which disables 2 of the 6 sata ports) and comes with 2 thermal probes (pro still has the connectors but probes not in the box?).
Guess it comes down to availability for me. Don't need WiFi now but would like to have for Bluetooth and WiFi maybe useful in a future life. I keep PC's a long time, still using my 12 year old Q6600 as second system. All being well it will finally be retired and replaced by my 3770k next week.
I have a feeling Gaming X and Pro non Wifi along with Master will be Gigabytes biggest sellers . all X570 AX wifi is overkill and likes of BT don't include it yet and they were the first to use AC standard , maybe BT Smarthub 3 will have it
