From what i recall he turned off comments long before the cancer, think it was around the time the YouTube comment system went mental with people posting loads of ASCII txt just spamming up the comments section.

Hes crazy and makes all sorts of weird things,From a 60mph granny scooter to an underground bunker!

I love the stuff he builds, but wish he wasn't so obnoxiously loud and over enthusiastic. It really starts to grind on me after a few mins and I have to turn it off.

I seem to remember he spoke about his decision being something to do with Google's comment system as well. Long time ago now, though. :)

only watch a few odds and sods from gaming youtube guys but here's my view on a few.

Totalbiscuit-he can put out some entertaining stuff but sometimes he just drones on trying to break that 29min limit so he gets more money from youtube red (he's admitted this in co-optional podcast a could have times), also seems to swing from having a go at people then trying to excuse somethings.

Jim sterling-again can be a bit hot and cold but some of his stuff seems better thought out and written than most and can be a good chuckle when he goes off on a rant, especially about konami.

them are the only two i can really talk about as the rest if watched bits of just seem to mash in to a stream of copies of each other. shout, make funny noises and faces while just reading out headlines from ign or pcgamer, amazes me how some of these make money.

DrBenjyFM for football manager videos. His Salford Story series lasted around 200 episodes, I watched every single one and thoroughly enjoyed every single episode.

All about the type of game play you want.

As much as he annoys me his taste in games and specific game play is like mine. So I'm putting a shout in for

PsiSyndicate

Also, if you want brutal over the top honesty and from someone who isn't a sell out (not naming anyone, but just look who Battlefield promote) ... I'l stick in a suggestion for RhinoCrunch.

I'm saying these two as I know nobody will mention them, but chances are everyone seens some of their videos.

Since my last post in this thread was about 2 years ago, an update on my viewing...

Watch less YT now than I did, probably been low for about 5 or 6 months now. Haven't watched as much TotalBiscuit or Nerdcubed as I used to, but occasionally tune in. Still catch all Angry Joe's reviews, which are still great.

I like analysis more than dry reviews or let's-plays, and my preferred YT-ers tend to reflect that.

A few newer additions to my watchlist:

Jim Sterling - probably watch more of his stuff than anyone else at the moment. His Jimquisition video on a Monday is always worth a look, and his other videos are enjoyable and nicely bitesize.

SuperBunnyHop - don't always watch his reviews, though they're quite good, but try to watch his other content (analysis or history of some aspect of a game/gaming). Usually very interesting and well put together.

Stan Burdman - he's returned to YT after a long time out. Really enjoy his style, makes me laugh especially when he plays awful games.

+1

Some YouTubers I follow:

AngryJoeShow - for some humorous, bit generally (IMO) spot on game reviews.

TotalBiscuit - for brutal/honest first impressions, that generally ends up being more in-depth than most full game reviews.

Mr. Fruit Gaming Channel - All round channel, focused around Destiny but does quite a few Indie titles.

Gopher - Does full playthroughs of Fallout 4, Skyrim and Witcher 3. Also does mod reviews and installation tutorials.

I take back what i said about TotalBiscuit. He's actually just as good as he ever was after i watched a few of his newer reviews, when he enjoys a game is when he's at his best.

I've been watching him cos my daughter started. Genuine lol's sometimes, although if I'm somewhere else in the house all I can hear is him shouting :o

I've still got the 'core 3' on my subcription list, JSE, PDP and Markiplier, and I still enjoy watching the Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth stuff.

I'm easy to please.

Mr Sark makes me laugh. His video editing is the best and he doesn't spam upload videos for the sake of it. He also doesn't feel the need to talk constantly which is always a plus.

He said he makes more money because Red is based on view time, but i'm not sure what the 29 minutes is reference to?

he mentioned it in a video a month or so ago that if you go over 29 mins you get more money from youtube red, cant remember which episode it was but it was a co-optional podcast and he had the urine taken out of him by the guest about it.

cant blame him for making the best of it while he can as god knows how youtube will change things in the future. but some of his vids seem like they go around and back again making the same point.

I find Team Double Dragon good fun to watch, its a Yogscast spin off (don't stop reading...) where Lewis and Chris (Sips) play through full games, quite often while having rather interesting, deep, controversial, or just downright funny, conversations. :)

Its not like the normal kid-oriented Yogscast stuff from the main channels.
