US: Better Call Saul

I know that :p

For if he ever came into the office I meant...

that doesn't make any sense, he works for a rival firm

given that he doesn't leave the house in general and the firm he actually has an equity stake had to take a bunch of special measures for the single trip he made there I doubt a rival firm will have a special button installed on the off chance he decided to pop in for some reason at some point in the future... :p

also it is a light switch in a random office.... not the sort of thing you'd use to shut down all power

It can make sense and Chuck was mentioned many times in the reddit thread asking about the switch too. I personally don't believe it's anything to do with Chuck though.

As said, you're thinking into it a little too deeply, it's likely just an A/C switch which are common in states like New Mexico and is a metaphor for Jimmy/Saul not following the rules.

Really good first episode, I got into it a lot quicker than season 1 as I feel I know the characters a lot better.

I reckon by flicking the switch he just cut off power to the law firms server room in the basement and lost all their data or something :p

It can make sense

how? The only switch chuck would need is one to power everything off and that didn't happen... let alone it not even being the right law firm. It makes no sense at all.

no, all I've proposed is that 'I reckon it is going to affect something'

there is nothing deep to that at all. Yes it probably will be something trivial, but there will probably be some sort of consequence.

Really looking forward to this. Just finished re-watching S1. I've heard Aaron Paul has a cameo in this season.

Actor that played Gus also stated on Twitter that he would love to reprise his role on this series and had a meeting with the writers.

I get the feeling that we will have some real special cameos this season - Gus Fring's back story anyone??! How he built his empire??:D

I've made a guess based on the information I had, which didn't include anything said by the show's writer... I didn't comment on whether it meant anything.

You proposed that it could be related to chuck - I don't see any reasoning for that

you proposed that it might do nothing at all - I think it will do something (quite possibly just something trivial)

Agreed. In the beginning of the episode he was too worried about pushing the door open that said do not open unless emergency, but by the end after his little mid life crisis it's just a metaphor to show how much he's changed after landing the decent job, by pressing the button that says do not press.

Loved the first season, I ended up watching it three times. Caught the first episode of season 2 on Tuesday as well and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the scenes with Ken. I can't understand people who ask if season 1 gets any better after watching only a couple of episodes, they must have the attention span of gnats.

Anyway, I don't think we'll end up seeing much post-BB stuff apart from the couple of minute flashbacks that have occurred at the start of both seasons. If people are expecting this to transition from prequel to sequel at some point then I think they'll be disappointed.

the beginning of the episode is set post breaking bad, he is not pushing the door to avoid any interaction with the police because he can't afford it

The bit at the start was a flash-forward to his life after Breaking Bad... He didn't want to open emergency door because it clearly stated the police would be called as a result. Given he would be, I presume, a wanted felon, that is probably why he chose not to do so.
