US: Better Call Saul

Has anyone noticed that throughout BB there were shots from the bottom of a container with someone pouring something in the top? Within the first 5 seconds of the new BCS they used the same thing where he poured coffee grounds in the bin.

Just saying since I was telling someone yesterday about this happening in BB and then I watched BCS last night and the did it straight away in the opening :D

I never understood what it was supposed to represent, but maybe it's just one of the director's hallmark shots?

Agreed. In the beginning of the episode he was too worried about pushing the door open that said do not open unless emergency, but by the end after his little mid life crisis it's just a metaphor to show how much he's changed after landing the decent job, by pressing the button that says do not press.

You realise the beginning is post Breaking Bad after the cleaner has sent him off to his new life and is under instruction to not do anything to draw un-wanted police attention?

Also I love the Breaking Bad easter egg of the stockbroker. :D

It's the guy who gets his car blown up by Walter at the gas station

the beginning of the episode is set post breaking bad, he is not pushing the door to avoid any interaction with the police because he can't afford it

The bit at the start was a flash-forward to his life after Breaking Bad... He didn't want to open emergency door because it clearly stated the police would be called as a result. Given he would be, I presume, a wanted felon, that is probably why he chose not to do so.

Yep exactly this. Like Anticonscience has said as well, Saul and Walter are told by Ed not to alert the police when he relocates them.

I have to say... The scene with Mike and the Gangster at his fathers shop and the scene with Jimmy and the 2 police officers was some of the best written and acted dialogue in recent times :D
