Beyond: Two Souls

Just played the demo , looks great graphically and looks like this could have a really good story , controls will take a while to get used to.

The characters faces look so real:eek:

One thing I noticed was some graphic glitches towards the end of the demo , anyone else see this?

Bit different from Heavy Rain but I cant wait to get this!

Yes, on the motorbike section there were missing textures which were replaced with arrows and also the lens flare was all corrupt and the fire was pixlelated too.

Played the demo last night and loved it.

Wife walked in while I was playing and said "Are you spending even more money now?!? That's a new game!".

My response was that no, it was a free demo so she can shut it.

As soon as I was finished I popped online and pre-ordered the special edition. :p

Next week she'll be all like "DID YOU SPEND MONEY ON A GAME AGAIN?!", and you can be all like "Nah, it's the same one as last time ".

Either that or she might think it's the same one and not question it :p

Yeah, I'll stash the box away on the shelf and try and convince her at every opportunity that it's still The Last of Us. :D

I think I'll probably get away with it for all of oh... three seconds. :D

Just re-played the Demo and it plays out completely different. So many of your actions effect the way the game plays out. This is really impressive if the whole game is like this...

Yeah, I went to a developer conference at EuroGamer Expo, and David Cage was presenting Beyond. The most interesting thing he brought up during the conference was the fact that you can't die, there is no game over screen. If you fail, the game takes into account your actions and just continues on. Really interesting to see how this pans out over the course of the story.

Definitely downloading this when I get home :o

Heavy rain was a cool game, hugely flawed in places but generally enjoyed it. Wasn't really anticipating much from this but from the sounds of it I might have to pick it up.

I just played the demo and thought it was amazing, graphically it's hard to believe that it's running on a PS3, very impressive. The entire thing just sucks you in, I think it's going to be hard to put this one down after you start playing.

Looking at those videos the transition between gameplay and cut scenes/camera movements is possibly the best I've seen and it looks amazing too.

From Heavy Rain and now this, I can't wait to see what Quantic bring to the PS4

I don't understand people gushing over the graphics, yes the peoples faces look nice, but it's nothing special like some people are saying.

Had a quick blast on the demo the other night. Got to admit, it takes an awful lot to impress me these days, but on the 20 or so minutes I played, I was really impressed. I actually turned demo off as I don't really want to spoil any of the full game. The Last of Us was without a doubt my game of the year (and 1 of, if not my favourite ever), but if Beyond can be as impressive to me throughout the full game, then it will give The Last of Us a run for its money in my opinion.

Played the demo, quite enjoyed it. People who didn't like Heavy Rain probably won't like this either, but there is a lot more 'gameplay' to it than in HR e.g. the combat and a lot more freedom as to what you can do at any given time. Storyline and dialogue also seems a lot better and of course, having actual actors lending their performance to the characters this time at least means it should shake the B-Movie feel of Heavy Rain.

Looked great visually too, the section with Jodie running through the woods at night looked superb.
