Beyond: Two Souls

6/10 in the reviews I've seen (IGN, Eurogamer), doesn't sound that great.

9/10 from GameSpot and editors choice award though..!
 
Some reviews say the story is bad others say it is fantastic ? The 6/10 I read they also gave Heavy Rain 6/10 so not sure what to make of that.
 
Forbes and Kotaku have given it their greenlight, but it does really seem to be dividing the ciritcs. Will make up my own mind come Friday though, not about to let some bad reviews stop me from enjoying it (or not) :p

You need to play with an open mind this is not a game but more an interactive story. It is a very Marmite game. If you have love Quantic's other games then you will love this if not we advise staying away.

Wow mixed bag of reviews. I'll play the demo see what I reckon. Heavy Rain was fantastic apart from the screen tearing, which for a game like that ruined the whole thing really..

I did not notice any tearing in Heavy Rain ? That would have annoyed the hell out of me as well.

I'm very sensitive to tearing, Heavy Rain was very bad for it in quite a few areas of the game.. It totally annoyed me, but the story was so compelling I mostly tried to ignore it so as I could get to see one of the games many endings.. Game was so good, I played it again, with move controls and had a different ending.. Screen tearing and all..!!

i'll download the demo for Beyond souls see how it is. missus liked Heavy Rain, she enjoyed watching me play it. she might enjoy this one.

Apparently the whole game can be played with a smart phone?

I did back off a bit with it when you sorta told me to shut and enjoy PS3 games, or don't bother with consoles and stick to PC where I have control of V Sync..

Not sure the missus would've thanked you for that. ended up buying a uber expensive gaming laptop, which I've enjoyed a lot of games on via Steam, but can't ignore the PlayStation exclusives can you?

Last of us was superb, and I did enjoy Heavy Rain (whispers *screen tearing and all* lol)
 
Hmm that does sound like me doesnt it - caustically blunt :(

Well I hope the PS4 decision works out for you, hopefully screen tearing wont be an issue, but in all honesty when they do push the system I suspect it might be the first aberration to rear its head - so Ive pre-warned you ;)

Beyond looks good and tbh I need to experience it, good or bad, I just like developers that try something even if it might critically fail. Happy to support creativity...
