BF Hardline Visceral Games

I can see a big balance patch in the near future, some of the guns are worthless in their current state (Looking at you L85A2)

Also think they are looking at making the syndicate assignments a little less of a PIA.

Anyone else find the in game loadout to be a bit 'odd' sometimes? On more than one occasion I've selected my kit and deployed and its been on of my other loadout presets, So far its only been the Mechanic class though... Strange.

I got annoyed really early on in the SP when the scanner kept on buzzing after entering a room but for the life of me I couldn't find the evidence. I found one in the office opposite but surely that was a different piece. IIRC one of the youtube lot couldn't find it there either.

I'm not totally sure but I think the evidence gathering is bugged or needs to be triggered. On the episode out in the swamp I was in a tin shack and within 1m of evidence. Couldn't find it. Looked everywhere, and even went outside and under the building. Nothing. So I carried on a bit further and came back a little later after arresting everyone and triggered a "hmm those shoes look familiar" comment and out of the blue there is the evidence on the floor that I swear was not there 5 mins previously!

I also found that some of the evidence is obscure/small and does not always pick up on the scanner unless you are dead centre on it. Additionally, you get the buzz from the scanner for task specific items too, and they are denoted in blue.

I just got into the habit of opening scanner regularly and checking the top left corner to see if there was evidence in the vicinity.

I have bagged the majority of the evidence, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered playing through areas again to find the rest so soon after finishing it. Particularly as it serves no real purpose other than to unlock stuff that can only be used in SP.

All of the cool stuff I have in SP is not available in MP, so the grind is pointless to a large degree.

Is it me or are 64 player conquest (large) maps just too small? It's spawn, kill, die, spawn, rinse and repeat... 32 player conquest large maps are better, but still. I'm a little dissapointed.

Secondly, there are a severe lack of guns, a couple per class... Is it like this or am I missing something.

Thirdly, some of the maps are VERY unbalanced. To name one, is the shack one, the cops ALWAYS lose, and mostly end up fighting from their spawn point.

I like MP, when you get good guns the enjoyment factor goes through the roof.

Even with blatant hackers like last night.

when you unlock a good gun with attachments that works for you its like hello :D

i liked the r700 rifle better than scout but now loving the scout sniper so much :p

Hazard?? aka Land Shark :p

Oi!

It's not my fault the game is a buggy mess. I didn't even know what was going on until I saw Mynight's video. :(

Anyway I think he's talking about some of those suspiciously long range kills we were subjected too (Although I wonder whether that's just the spotting system + the much greater distance that guns do damage at compared to BF4).

Nah it was the aimbot through the walls on buildings and the 180 no scope 4 times in 2 mins that I'm on about. Snapping to targets etc

He left shortly after we mentioned that we were spectating him, normally a sure sign he knows he was being naughty.

Although with your land sharking it is no wonder people need to hack.

Yeah I heard you guys talking about him, but didn't get hammered by him. I guess I was either on the wrong flag or the land sharking thing protected me. :D

I think we need a link to the vid Mynight (unless it's full of swearwords).

I've also seen people float about in crouched mode.

That bug has been around since the beter. I try not to use the in game load out system. For instance often when I try to change pistol I can see my M416 attachments being displayed :D

The nice thing is that you can set up different loadouts and then just toggle between. For instance on bigger maps I run different scopes and also have different loadouts for hotwire vs conquest. It's awesome to be able to just toggle between these.

Why are the OCUK lot focusing on conquest? Would rather play BF4 to be honest...

I just join whatever people are playing. I like all the game modes.

Ah glad its not just me.... Another thing that will need patching then. :D

I do all my loadouts in BL and just use them, but its still selected the wrong one on occasion... lol.

I'm not a huge fan of CQ in this, BM and HW are the way to go. Not played much heist yet...

This is pretty much what I've been saying, this is the possibly the biggest issue in BFH right now...

I have been thinking this too, I was raging in chat the other day that there are 3 weapons you can only get by paying extra (L85, ACWR and the CAR 556) and everyone was saying "Oh well they aren't as good as the other guns". The great thing about BF4 was finding one of the many weapons that I thought felt right to me, there are enough weapons that you can pick one that suits the map or the way you intended to play.

On Hardline there is a clear winner on every class, and the K10 is just stupid.

LOL! Was he not saying that weapon balance was fine in his review of MP only a few days ago and that he loved the m416/m16?!

But yes, the weapon balance and insta kills is the only thing really letting this game down big time atm, it is just like BF 3 all over again, medic + m16/m416 or you get rekt....

Another thing which I have noticed lately compared to bf 4/3 is the weapon control, literally just hold down the left mouse button, you don't have to burst fire 2-4 bullets to get the most accurate shot/spread unless you are doing long range engagements...

It is a fun game for infy play but it isn't anywhere as rewarding or skilful as bf 4 & 3

I'm not sure "infects" is an accurate description.

It seems pretty rubbish that they are tracking your hardware changes, but they don't need to install a rootkit or anything to do this.

The real issue here that EA clearly don't get and valve do is that a popular digital game service MUST allow it's users to upgrade or migrate their hardware otherwise the licence for each game is effectively "Until your GPU pops" which is completely useless as far as most PC gamers are concerned.

Heavy barrel and stubby does this. In BF4 spread was actually a thing. IIRC, with the stubby grip, I think the maximum spread of some of these weapons is now less than it's minimum spread!
This also leads to the issue that until you've got the right attachments on the gun and un-learnt everything you knew about shooting in BF4 you are going to get a pasting.

Edit: OK I got that wrong, it's the spread increase that ends up being very low so on full auto with the stubby, spread isn't an issue.

M416 v M416 with stubby

M416 v M416 HB + stubby
http://symthic.com/bf-hardline-comp...a21=Heavy Barrel&a22=Potato/Stubby/Stock grip

The Heavy barrel increases spread and reduces recoil, but this is compensated by the stubby grip.

The gunplay last night felt very CoDish to me. It seems BFHL is trying to bridge that gap, but I admit I have very little personal experience to base that on! lol :p

Will be playing some tonight though! Get in!
