BF2 Team [OcUK] intersted?

Ok then.

Sunday it is, I will TRY to get the maps changed down in size, I will get the server made unranked if I can so we can password it to only thoose who want to get in.

I will say we have 16 slots to fill (the people who we borrow the server off may want some!)

That should do, pilots dont need squads, but will need to be in a squad for ease of setup.

Put your name down, and I will try my best to get a game sorted for tommorrow evening at about 7:00 if that suits everyone.

16man unranked maps, Karkand, Dalian Plant and Sharqi 2 rounds on each unless anyone has any objections, we can always finnish early. :)

Please send me a email to [email protected] (I have shamelessly copied 50K game organisation as it worked well. The game will be a squad based game with commanders only able to fight when necissary, can use vehicles but must give them to another member when asked but they can not use air. No racism and abuse directed at other players is not allowed, teabagging malc if he plays is encouraged.)

Anbody has any questions or needs something changed let me know, I will now try my best to get the server sorted.

Id like to join if thats ok, i cant remember what my name is at the mo as i havent played for a while :o but ill edit it in as soon as possible.
 
Will need a email due to sending out the password when the game is on. :) (Randoms ruining the game last time, dont want to be moaning at OcUK'ers when it wasnt them; I will find something else to moan about! My squad if possible should use TS or at least sign in to it. My VOIP crashes my game so I would have no comms.)
 
As I have just said, if I press my VOIP button I crash to desktop, if I try to change the key it is binded to, I crash to desktop.

I just cant use it.
 
7pm is do-able (even though i have a big bit of coursework in on tuesday + test on monday)
use my trust email for the game organisation - i will email you from it for ease of reply ;)

Am glad i went out for the day and didn't get involved in all that.
My thoughts are these.
I like to play BF2, I like to play it well and as it's meant to be played.
Which i feel is as a team.
I do not want to play on a team where more than half of that team are loners.
I thought this was a way to get together a few like minded BF2 heads.
It Has.
There are team orientated players amongst my xfire list already that i will go out of my way to play BF2 with. As Yewen mentioned after the match when we went public we had a great time. Support, cover and back up with laughs along the way.A couple of near misses in jets with Rebel were classic BF2 moments we me Screaming Go high go high and getting a Roger that back as we passed within feet of each, *** fun.
Then ground work with mates in your squad is so much more fun.
I mean come on guys why join a team/clan or even a bunch of guys to play a game and go solo.
I thought the whole point was to get together not to continue to play like you are on public.
I fully understand those that are casual just wanting to mess about but being in a squad is messing about and all the fun you have is doubled with guys that see it and are involved in that BF2 moment.
The comments earlier are typical. I will say to those if you would like to take the lead and become a pro active member of this group then by all means do.
I am quite happy to take a back seat. All i want to do is play BF2 and i will play BF2 for quite some time. I have met some excellent BF2 players in this thread and i hope to meet many more. :cool:
 
Get lost malc, I read that wanting to know if you were playing or not!

(Keep things in perspective, we have moved on and learnt from the weak points of last nights game. :D This one should be a lot better, better server setup and I have learnt my mistakes when organising the last one.)
 
Like i said earlier the 6 guys that went on to play public had a blast. I think we would have more fun going on a public.
If 20 of us go on an empty server it will fill up in no time at all. Then we can play BF2. 20 man with lag and 5 of your team standing about or lonewolf is not fun at all. :p

I am here for fun and i had loads of fun with you guys after Loads. We have some quality players amonst us that play as i and many other BF2 heads do. AND THATS AS A TEAM :p
 
Can we not all jump on an empty public server? Theres always a 64man server that has nobody on it at all, would be much easier - or find a half full one maybe.

Also regarding TS, will we have different squads for people who do & dont have mics? I know mics make it a lot easier but not everyone has one (myself included).

Another thing regarding the game tomorrow, i've always found it easier to command people in jets/choppers if they have their own squad & lock it. Maybe a list of potential pilots for the next game so theres no standing infront of jets or TK's may be in order.

Practice games may be handy too as there seems to a be few people lately who have just got BF2 & want to learn the ropes, an FF off server where people could practise with choppers/jets and how to fly them properly (among other things).

And finally, will anybody be about tonight for a game on the publics? :p
 
Ive email you about the game tomorow ywenn, any yeah I should be playing tonight, when I get bored, Im prety nifty at fying the jets also :D

I think it'd be best to mix people with mics in with people that don't.

That way every team has at least one person who can pass on messages quickly. A whole team with no mics will be at a serious disadvantage.

Well, i meant different squads for people with mics/none but reading it again yeah at least the squadleader will need one to keep things in order.

Also if people are on tonight, does everyone mostly use the 50K servers or just random ones?
