I don't care, and its none of your eithers, stop telling ppl not to buy a card now, as you said ppl don't wanna wait, if they wanna buy a GX2 etc... leave em to it, none of your business, stop telling them not to, and get a G80. ;)

But thats helping poeple.

Its pointless buying a DX9 card now 7 days from a new Gen launch.

But saying don't buy a G80 is not helping anyone.

Are we, got any benchies to back that up have you. :p

I hope your happy with them, will be and absolutely stonking setup.

There is one leaked one on the net which comes from a very reliable source. However I myself am not about to break any NDA's.

We're looking at greater than 7900GTX SLI performance from one card, I for one will be picking up 2 GTX's on release and I couldn't care less if the price drops. I make my decisions and stick by them, price drops happen, doesn't even remotely annoy me.

Indeed,

Price drops happen all the time. Its nothing new and if you buy early then you will pay.

I'm not sure loadsamoney understands that people don't care.

It happns with cpu's etc...

Why do you think I sold my opty 170 when I did?

AMD slashed the prices by 50% lol

Its none of your business though, leave em to it please. :)

Rubbish,

Its a forum.People ask what card to get.

no one is asking wether or not they should buy a G80 are they?

No

So thats the fundamental difference.

They just want to.

I do understand that ppl don't care, but not all ppl dont' care, as the x1900's proved, if everyone didnt care then no one would have complained about them being in the 'This Week Only' 3x days later, but they were, all im saying is if you do care, then wait for the price drops, if you don't buy one.

lol Ocuk gotta be careful but I guess titbits of pricing is ok looks like its spreading fast the news of £500 price tags...

But mind u its nothing major and theres quite a few US sites with pictures/price infos already.

Oh and that heatsink looks mad.....lets hope its not a fake!

Leadtek PX8800 GTX TDH and PX8800 GTS TDH

To VTR-Hardware it arrives to us a little of fouiner and as of time that functions rather well. We have thus early product to reveal you today the name of GeForce 8800 GTX and GTS of the Leadtek manufacturer, and we have even photographs to present to you. We know sure sources indeed that the Leadtek charts containing G80 will name WinFast PX8800 GTX TDH and WinFast PX8800 GTS TDH. Side characteristics the first will thus have one 8800 given rhythm GTX with 575 MHz and 768 Mo of GDDR3 384bit 1.1ns with 900 MHz whereas the second has one 8800 GTS with 500 MHz and 640 Mo of memory GDDR3 320bit 1.2ns to 800 MHz. Leadtek thus follows the recommendations of nVIDIA just like Asus…

The two charts will have if not of the PCB 12 layers, will support the SLI, Shaders 4.0, the HDTV, and will intègreront two ports DVI-I. Obviously, they are also compatible DirectX 10, support Video Pure technology and Quantum Effects, the famous weapon of nVIDIA will offer to us to face PhysX of AGEIA.

Question for Gibbo. I understand you are under NDA but is there a chance you could give us a time the G80s will be available for purchase? I know it's November 8th, but what time (if there is even a set time), the only thing I have to go on is the lan event in CA that says 11:00am. With supplies this thin it would be nice to know when we can jump online and order them from etailers, instead of staying up from 12:01 am Nov the 8th and refreshing my rig every 15 min hoping they show up in stock all of a sudden. You people may think I'm crazy but that is how I got my 7800GTX 512.

I understand telling even those of us on this forum the time they will actually be available to order would crash your server, lol but I would really like a release time.

Oh and great site, very good info about a lot of stuff here ;)

P.S We all know Fri when the cards come in you will be ripping open a box and playing with (assuming you don't already have one) a G80 all weekend :D

True, but it would be nice to play Oblivion and Fear maxed out at 60fps instead of 20 :p

Will everyone who has anything else negative to say about DX10 and the G80 jump on the bandwagon driven by Pr0Ster and head to General Hardware, its north of here you won't miss it, and we won't miss you!!

We are aware of the fact that the G80 has DX10 which is currently not available on any OS or on any games at the moment. Please accept the fact that everyone interested in purchasing a does not give a rats ***. We are buying the 8800GTX because its an upgrade. It will play our games at high resolutions and give us better frame rates when gaming, and if we ever decide to install Vista, we will also be able to utilise DX10 features!!!

We know the facts and we are tired of hearing your endless and relentless campaign against buying one!!!.....give it up for Gawd Sake!!!

Thats my reason for buying at least, maybe not those games, but for STEADY frame rates in my games, what use is an avergae of 60 frames per second when the minimum is like 15 and the maxt is 100.

I hope these cards have the power to give some high frame even in the heavy action and not just benchmark friendly gibberish :)
