Will everyone who has anything else negative to say about DX10 and the G80 jump on the bandwagon driven by Pr0Ster and head to General Hardware, its north of here you won't miss it, and we won't miss you!!

We are aware of the fact that the G80 has DX10 which is currently not available on any OS or on any games at the moment. Please accept the fact that everyone interested in purchasing a does not give a rats ***. We are buying the 8800GTX because its an upgrade. It will play our games at high resolutions and give us better frame rates when gaming, and if we ever decide to install Vista, we will also be able to utilise DX10 features!!!

We know the facts and we are tired of hearing your endless and relentless campaign against buying one!!!.....give it up for Gawd Sake!!!

I tried saying this on page 2 but it doesn't help. We'll just have to wait for them to be released, the hopefully some noteable people will have a horrible meal of "hat" for dinner.

There is one leaked one on the net which comes from a very reliable source. However I myself am not about to break any NDA's.

As long as you yourself haven't signed one then your free to do what you like. So this would assume you have signed one, if you haven't lets have a look, or are you talking about the chinese\japanese one?

I've never been made to sign one in all my years of reviewing, I was always trusted to just not break them, I'm not about to start now :)

:D

thing is about the DX10 arguement, dx10 will be available shortly when Vista goes to manufacturing on the 8th. I for one will be able to get a copy at this time.

Hi there

Fantastic news, BFG has shipped us another shipment on top of the shipment already en-route. What this means is that we have a very large amount of BFG 8800 GTX available for launch day. In fact the amount is so large I can guarantee you all that we will not run out of stock and as such maybe able to lower our price. With BFG being number one in the USA and also having a good relationship with NVIDIA in Europe too means BFG get fantastic allocation. As were BFG's number 1 customer over here and their favourite were getting huge amounts of GTX product along with GTS too for launch day.

I can assure you that OcUK will not run out of 8800 GTX and thats even if everybody in this thread buys one, plenty to go round for everybody. :D

Woo Hoo!

What if everyone on this thread buys two though Gibbo? ;)

Good news, keep us posted on any price drops...

HI there

Not a problem at all. You can all buy two and you can either buy online or come to our shop on the 8th. There will still be plenty left. :)

If the price is sub £500 you have my business Mr Gibbo!

Gibbo could you confirm what PSU you need for SLI? I have a 620w Liberty.

However i do want an Asus 680 Motherboard at the same time :p

Hi there

I will do my best and your PSU needs to be one with 4x PCI-E connectors so ideally one of the new Enermax 850W or 1000W that are properly designed for these type of cards. :)

I'm going to wait until March, or whenever it is that ATI releases their next card (and nvidia inevitably releases a refresh of the G80 to compete) before I consider SLI/CF.

I'm going for a GTX on Wednesday, but I don't feel like putting all my eggs in this basket. I'll see how the next round performs in comparrison to this and decide then.
