BFG RMA question

I've just RMA'ed my 8800GTX OC and a brand new GTS 250 OC arrived through the post this morning, whole procuss took only 6days (thursday morning to wednesday), very quick and easy service to use, will be using BFG in the future!

I am currently going through an rma of an 8800gtx. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to pay the difference in value to upgrade to gtx 260? I know its a long shot but i already have one 260 and would like too sli.

Your best bet would be to phone them. They are nice, and should be able to sort something out for you.
 
Who am i best ringing BFG? If so i cant find the uk number can anyone direct me please?

They don't have a UK number - you have to phone the US of A if you want to speak to them. Skype could be the answer depending on your phone company.

From threads I have seen you will almost certainly get a BFG GTS 250 OC 1024Mb card as an RMA for an 8800GTX.

They are very sympathetic to people already running SLi in that they have been known to RMA both cards when only one is faulty but I have no experience of them allowing people to trade up RMA cards.

I'd e-mail whoever is handling your RMA and ask them.
 
Phone this number 01443816100 , Its the company that deals with BFG's Uk RMA's.
My GTX 280 oc died they received it on the 25th and had heard nothing since sent a few emails to BFG and no reply so had a google and found this number spoke to a very nice lady who said they would phone me back.
They phoned back in 5 minutes and replacement is getting sent out today problem with my address apparently. :D
 
i have a BFG 8800GTS which has seemed to over heat big time! The fan stopped spinning and the memory heatsinks have completley come away, i have seen that one of the fan pins seems to have come off i dont no what to do, i have since taken the cooler off and removed the remaining heatsink tape as it smelt really smokey as well as removing the thermal paste will i still be able to rma my card or not?
 
hello, are any people still with this thread?

I just sent my GTX 260 this Monday, and the BFG Wales warehouse received it on Tuesday. I wonder when the replacement will be shipped out?

any one knows Jeff's email? In case if my rma got a delay

Hi, I see Jeff is pretty helpful. My 8800 512 gts OC (not sure if it is oc 2 or not) and they have had it since the 23rd October, still my RMA states nothing else, I called them up LOTS of times to here the following stories...

1. Give it 24 hours to see the RMA appear I am sure your card will be sent in the next few days.. (few days pass so i call them to hear)

2. RMA takes upto 4 working days... check 24 hours after that, if we dont have your card replaced by then we look into upgrading as we have none in stock... (I waited a week and called back to hear another lovely story)

3.(I actually get into the so called "RMA department" woohoo!) your card is being tested, I said since when? she said looks like just today they started... (yeah I was so mad, not to the lady of course, but just mad it took two weeks to test) she said it can take 10 days according to their regulations, not the 4 days I was incorrectly told. (okay this is 8 working days, but two weeks for me without a card)... she said call back friday...

4. I call back actually on the friday to have a guy tell me we are looking hard for the 8800 gts.. (really? here I was thinking you are just taking my 8800 on a date!) They will ship it out in a few days, if it is not sent by wednesday call us back and we will have to upgrade the card. (okay so I go and call back on 12th november)

5. Hi we can not locate a card, I will email the team to send you an upgrade.. (she actually could not tell me what upgrade though, apparently up to the warehouse I hear).
