Guys I need a bit of help please.

My nephew has got a Carrera Mountain bike with 24" wheels, its a little front suspension job and its a good quality frame etc.

However he is now into riding bikes about the skateboard park so I want to buy new tyres and a chainset to suit riding it on ramps and whatnot.

Im crap with bike components so could you please point me in the right direction for parts to convert this bike into a street bike. Thanks

Can you get a picture of what is on the bike just now.

Probably wont need new cranks, just a bashguard and possibly a new chainring.

I'm stoked to the power of gnar!
Ripped the sh!t out of my local today, haven't been as fast ever on some parts, everything just started falling into place. Entire body now completely drained, time to fill up with a couple of cold ones.

I had an awesome day at Llandegla, probably the last time I'll get to go for months if not longer!

There were some ***** about though when I arrived, had to wait to get a parking space! A massive group of woman having a mothers meeting it seemed across the whole red trail ****ed me off.

Lots of familys with kids which is fine, but I think they need to emphasize the climb at the start of the blue route more on the website. While its technically not difficult it can be tough, especially for younger kids.

By the time I had done the black and had some food the place was dead (3pm ish) so best to go either first thing or later on!

Did the full black, parallel universe route including JJ's jumps in 1 hour 24 mins which is pretty good going. Only had one guy overtake me, a lycra'd up power ranger who flew past me, I wish I was that fit!

Had a sausage butty and a can of Tango (no stupid gels needed here!) and then did the original blue route before going home.

Yeh, jokes aside, I agree. I finished a 4 hour ride on friday with left over chicken tikka massala, that was the best food I've ever tasted, I wolfed it down

Went to the cycle show 2011 at the N.E.C. today. Was alright, bit more focused on road bikes and nutrition though so not really my cuppa tea. Was hoping to see all the major makes there with the 2012 gear but there was hardly owt slightly off road! The best there was the limited edition troy lee painted specialized. Rose had some nice gear too. Full sus tandem with downhill forks top pic :p

I was going to head over this afternoon but ended up being lazy, it was raining badly here and I couldn't be bothered to drive anywhere. :(

I've found its better going later in the afternoon too so its not too busy. That was what I really liked about Penmachno last weekend, I saw a total of about two people over the whole 20 miles, it was great! Just a shame its further away than Llandegla or I'd go there more often.

Good time by the way, beats mine by about 20 mins, going to have to pull my finger out next time I get there!
