The crank gears appear tiny. How many teeth?

Looks like a 36 or more likely a 38t in the first pic and a 22t-32t setup in the second pic.

Is that 2002 6" boxxers? The very latest 2003 7" ones(going by the vee brake lugs).

Weather looks very overcast but i think im gonna go for a ride justnow on my brothers bike.

probably about that new, its a 2002 model, i payed around 800-900 for it, built it up by buying seperate parts. had an orange mro before which was also great, and my next bike will most likely be another orange, just cos they're fantastic bikes.

Nice, the 222 hasnt changed that much until the 224. All the 223 did was add a bolt through rear end and slightly diffrent angles i think. The 224 has changed quite a bit.

One of my mates had a MrO and it was nice,a bit heavy even with just junior Ts on it. Looked lovely in orange.

I havent ridden a 22x so cant really say how they ride but they are bloody noisy bikes.

yeah, i remember that mro jonny, he had his at the same time as me i think.
my 222 has a bolt throuh, i think what they did with the later 222's on was change it from 135mm to 150mm rear end

and yes, they do fairly sound like a bag of nails :D but i love em.

Yeh thats him,he used to give us a run to glentress when he stayed in hamilton and worked in homebase. Moved away and i aint seen him since. Hes running the 26" conversion the same as me.

How far out of lanark are your trails? My workmate moved to the lanark store and i fancy riding up one day to see whats what. Hes the guy with a beard if you've been in halfords up in Lanark.

yeah, he's a manager in homebase in lanark now. trails are out at my house, about 6 or 7 miles from lanark, whats your mates name, i have a few friends working in halfrauds. what does he ride too?

Ah so not really public trails then, owell. My mate is stephen,i think hes the head of cycles up there. I know most of the workers since we trained them at the hamilton store. Cant remember any the names except dougy..... :o

Hes not really a biker but he rides a carerra fury around sometimes.

nah, not public, they're well hidden in a private estate but if you wanna come out sometime when you finish your bighit then you're welcome, we've only jst started them really, so far we've got a 15x4ft stepdown (what daves landing in the picture), a gap/stepdown about 17x5ft over a stream thing and a north shore style ladder drop over the stream thats about shoulder height. we're building a rythm section after the stepdown when then goes into more north shore wall rides, see saws and "skinnys".
should be pretty good when its all done :)
if you wanna come and help build then thats fine too ;)

I would be happy to help out,the last attempt we had at building trails with dave my mate em kinda burnt it down....what an idiot.

I wouldnt fancy riding up on my bighit but im coming along nicely with my driving lessons so could easy drive up if i pass soon enough.

Does dave still have the big red volvo, that thing was a legend.

lol, hamilton to lanark and back on a bighit wouldnt be fun :)
how long you been doing lessons?

yeah, daves got his volvo and i've got my almera, normally just chuck the bikes in the ovlov though

hey, jonny, ** bighit is real nice, one of the nicest bikes ive seen, what do you prefer, your bro's s-works or your bighit?

Uh its hard to say the stumpy, its certainly not an Sworks,i havent ridden my own bighit as its not finished yet(cant afford to get get the front wheel built!) but my cousins is the same but with crap parts and a standard back end and it feels good and i can only imagine mine being better.

The stumpy is amazing though, for what it is its pretty tough and light. I would recomend it to anybody. It just goes like stink when you have the seat at the right height and is pretty comfy in the way that i wasnt ****** with arse ache or back ache after my 28 mile ride.

Been doing 1 2hour lesson per week since mid july, prety much done everything that i nned to do so a few more weeks and i want to sit my test. Your almera,is that the one you put ontop of a hedge?
