does anyone here have dmr V8s because I really want some white ones but I dunno if the paint will just come off after 5 mins riding
I have, but they're blue. Paint seems okay. I don't really like them though, the grips are too long and not numerous enough and the actual pedal body is a bit small. I preferred my old pedals :(

ah right can you recommend any other good pedals for around 20 pounds (biking on a shoestring here :P)

The V8's are fine. Probably the best pedal you'll get for £20. They get a bit scratched up, but any painted part in such a vulnerable position would have the same problem.

ok thanks, I want to press the buy button but so far I'm not convinced,
at the moment the only thing for certain is the easton vice 50mm DH stem but I'm starting a bit of jumping and what not so I neeed some new flatties

I'd get either the NC-17s or the NS Pancake thingies. The Konas look a bit cheap and like copies of the V8/V12s. The other ones look a bit too heavy and chunky. You've tempted me to buy either one of those two now :p

Buy it, sell it on for a profit if you decide its completely superfluous to needs.
Flipping it on eBay isn't really an option as the guy selling it broke his back riding a couple of weeks ago and needs the cash.

A 9" travel DH bike is way more than I can handle, but I'm a sucker for decent bargains.

Your cheek looks yellow. Bruised?

Nasty, hope you get better soon.

I'm enjoy the time off from the MTB and using the roadie. I haven't had any crashes yet and so for once, my legs and elbows aren't bruised and cut up and neither am I constantly pulling thorns or bits of bark out of my skin.

Edit: Just curious, does or has any one rode Woodbury Common in Devon?

Thanks, everything is ok now.

The whole of my left cheek was brusied quite bad at the time. Its gone down now. That was a few weeks ago, when it happened.

All I have now is a red scare on my face which seems to getting better over time. Using some Bio-Oil stuff on it that is used to remove scars and help them heal.

Ah I see. Yes capitalising on it would be very wrong. Do you do down hill? Previously wanted to get into it? If not, I would pass it by and let some one else enjoy it. You already have 3 bikes anyway. :p

The polished silver ones seem to be chromed or just straight polished metal, either way they don't scratch as easily and there's no paint to come off. Which is great for me as I'm always scraping them. Pretty sharp too, got the shin scars to prove it :p

Thats about the most sensible thing to do but we all know polished silver isnt as pimp as black or the new "im a fashion whore" white.

Also weescott: How are your bikes?

Bikes are fine. (well apart from a broken front brake on the Heckler)

I am off the bike long term due to illness I'm afraid.

Thats why I haven't posted here much lately. :(

I have reverted to playing golf again.:o
