Camelbaks are terrible in winter![]()
When a bottle freezes on your bike, you can usually bash it about a bit and break the ice to get some water out. When a camelbak tube freezes, you're stuck without anything to drink.
(never tried the thermal jackets you can get for the tubes though, maybe they help?)
The green trail at Swinley is far too short. She only managed the first 4 or 5 sections of the blue and that was with a lot of complaining and very slowly.
We've ridden through Richmond park a few times but only along the roads through the middle. Perhaps we'll try the Tasmin trail around the edges.
cycling in temps that are cold enough for camelback to freeze = stay at home
Screw both those circumstances - yay for my Australian emigration moving forward![]()
After being in 50~c for the best four months, not even sure I'm jealous!
Hope your moving near some trails!!
Old designs, no innovation and no carbon frame option. These bikes are designed for going up and down mountains.

No nonsense, 26" wheel option in the line-up still ... I'm biased, but I love Transition.
A dropper with a quick release, hmmm why![]()
The Transition Patrol has exactly the same Geo as a Spesh Enduro. (Although Trans don't show BB height).Low slack long geometry in 27.5", with an entirely new suspension platform to Transition, with carbon to come soon enough. No innovation you say....thats rich coming from a dude on a 26" vanillabike.
QR is useful if for when you put your bike in the bike stand.

It even uses the same FSR 'Horst' link suspension as Spesh bikes. The Spesh patent expires and they all jump on the bandwagon![]()
