Tyre clearance? They sit right up against the fork. Any clearance issues will be apparent before you even fit the mudguard surely?
Mine sits right up against the fork when strapped on, plenty of room.

Mine dont rub with the same tyres, must depend on your forks.

maybe its the sektors then, they kind of curve around the tyre which the guard doesnt follow as its too stiff.

e: i think that must be it, looking at the pikes they have a squarer profile to the arch...

I do really like it but I'll get something in the new year when I'm more flush.

Hello all, been a while since I've posted in this thread but after a bit of advice.

Currently still have my 2012 Mega with a pretty decent spec (Fox RC2 Float, Carbon bars & cranks, XTR brakes, Hope hubs etc.), and I still thoroughly enjoy riding it. Lately my riding mainly consists of a single long XC/Trail ride every weekend due to time constraints and money. I've had this bike for 2 years and think it's time to grab something shiny once again.

My options range from Banshee Spitfire or Rune, Evil Uprising or maybe even something Santa Cruz (gulp). I will mainly be still trail riding but will be doing uplift days around the UK and a trip to France is on the cards again for next year.

Does anyone have any experience with the mentioned frames? I'm fairly sure Cow had a spitfire for a point in time. My other dilemma is the fact that I would also like to build up a trail HT which means I'm going to end up with two very similar bikes. On the flipside of this I was tempted by getting the HT and a DH bike but I just feel that I'll never properly use the DH bike only on occasional uplifts and in France, the rest of the time it'll be redundant.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Something like that aye. Now that it is in perfect order and no creaks I'm selling it.

I do love it but I'll get something big again once I have cash again. Might even get more of a downhill bike but who knows.

Get the process like you originally wanted :p

Ordered the frame from DD cycles, will go well with the 917 :D

It'll cost around £30 to post a bike though, which is a significant percentage of the bike's value at this price point. That puts the total cost near £200, you could probably get something better locally for that price.

Something like this might be within collecting distance?

Thanks. Still looking, found a few of interest:
