I'll just leave this here to sum up where I've been riding for the last couple of weeks:

Hi all,

Need a new helmet but have no idea what to look for other than I want one with a bit or rear head protection, and colour black/grey/red/white.

Any idea what to look for brand wise, I've picked these 3 out -

TIA

you need to try them on really, its a bit of a nightmare shopping online as they're all different shapes. fortunately i was second attempt lucky, i ordered a bluegrass goldeneye first and the shape was nowhere near my head and looked ridiculously large. fortunately the IXS trail rs that replaced it was an awesome fit.

if you have the patience to order and return a few times (or enough money to order them all and return the unwanted) then go for it :)

i think cow has high opinion of the A1? that was on my short list and was next to try after the IXS but found that was awesome fit for me so kept that one.

Hey guys,

Heading to whinlatter in a few weeks but currently don't have a bike so going to have to hire one :(

Just wondering if the trails are doable on a hardtail, or is it worth getting a full sus bike?

I'd just get a hard tail, have done loads of red routes on a hire bike. Done full glentress red few weeks back on 100mm hardtail. It was still fun.

Ahh SC, I was browsing some local shop the other day and found these;

Did you ever find anything suitable?

Wow, that matt black looks amazing!

No i never found anything I really liked, but that looks ideal!
Thanks very much for the link. Think I should be able to do away with those additional handlebars and just have her grab onto my bars.

Edit: Hmm, it's aaalllmost there, but possibly not quite it. This will need to be mounted onto my Spitfire, and ideally I want something that just literally clips on and off. Have you bought one?

Hmm, I never seen it looks like it has to bolt onto the frame does it? Or around it? Certainly has bolts there.

Yeah does look a pain, especially if you don't want that clamp around the top tube permanently.

Ha, I have absolutely no plans on ever buying these! Would mean kids first, which would mean less riding ;)

Reluctantly considering the sale of my Titus FTM

I have a c456 hardtail which I use for knocking around general stuff with the wee man and just don't have time to get away with the big bike at all these days. It's barely been used in the last year despite loads of upgrades! :red: :red:

Looking for estimated prices for the bike as a whole but I may consider breaking it down into parts at a later stage.

So titus carbon FTM frame - large - replacement chainstay (rear triangle) done under warranty and only ridden about 30 miles since!

XT brakes shimano new model (max of 50 miles on these)
2 x 9 - slx cranks/xt rear derailer/slx shifters - all new cables and outers
carbon ragley bars
lockon grips
hope wheels - Stans No Tubes Arch EX Red hubs - excellent condition - tubeless with HD rear and NN front.
Ksi950 dropper post
150mm rockshox rev's, 135mm RT3 rear travel.

Very limited use overall - a couple of marks but generally excellent condition.

Any thoughts?
