If it was me, I would probably go for this one, and stick a dropper post in it...but that's just being picky

At current exchange rate, that will push your budget up to around 2200.

More drool for ya!

Argh! I'm leaning towards the race now! :D

I've just been on the phone to them and they are selling like hotcakes so will need to make my mind up quickly!

I'm quite a big unit 110kg, do you think the uprated fork and shocks would benefit me?

EDIT

Muscle not fat, and I just pulled the trigger on the Race Spec :):):)

Should be here next weekend!

Oh myyyyyy!
Very nice and quite envious. Smitten with that bike - my mate wanted one very badly, but has been waiting for another order for nearly 5 months now. Seing all these reviews and promo vids of that bike's just made his wait all that more agonising.

Do please post non-potato- pics asap!

Thanks SuperCow, I really can't wait!

Will get some pics up the day I get my hands on it :D

Looks relatively aggro for a mile eater...just how I like em :D

Not been out on it yet, so I dont know what it's like.
The photo makes it look smaller and more nimble than it really is though. It's a 29er (of course) and fairly long.
The front end is pretty low, but i'll change that. Planning on swapping out the fork for a rigid carbon one, stacking a load of spacers under the stem and fitting some bars with a ridiculous sweepback - like the sort of thing you'd find on an old shopping bike.

Although, it does have a nice curved seat tube for more tyre clearance allowing for short chainstays, so it should still be fun to ride.

I went for the AM x1 in the end - apparently the DT wheelset is unavailable until April but I'm going to double check that.

I was going to get the AM and they told me that they were fitting DT1501 wheels instead of the DT1700 because of the huge backorder. You might want to ask them about that.

Can't wait now -I've forwarded your advise to the troops :)

It's awesome! I might be up in April acctually, so give us a wave if you see a bright yellow/pink HT. :)

Was up there last Wednesday, raining like crazy and windy as hell. Still rode great :)

Does anyone here mount their bike on a wall? I've just been givin a garage but it's prone to flooding.

Was thinking about something like these; http://www.halfords.com/cycling/too...-solutions/mottez-wall-bike-storage-hook-27cm

But unsure if they will last the time, they look a little cheap and the last thing I want is to be gone a few months and come back to find my bike in a pool of water. I could just put it on the repair stand, but worried that if theres enough water it I'll cause it to tip.

Or any other genious ideas? Have thought about mounting it on the roof, to also give me more room...

Is there any access to the rafters?
Got 2 sets of 3 loops of rope hanging from the rafters in ours, one for each side of the handlebars and one for the seat.
saying that it rarely gets used as the bikes are the house most of the time just cause i'm too lazy to open up the garage...
