Nice looking bike but weird cut out rear shock bit. (shock hood i think they call it)

That would be a nightmare for cleaning the mud etc out of it. Never seen anything like that before.

Are you running a Cane Creek DBInline shock on your bike Supercow? If so, how do you find its performance?

i have one on my nickel - its a massive improvement on the fox float I had before - no stiction to get it moving, and then doesnt ever seem to splooge through its travel like the fox did

ive not ridden anything else "good" though so nothing decent to compare it with
the lockout/compression stiffen lever works well too

It's excellent, but definitely heed TFT's warnings as discussed previously.
As much as I love it, I won;t be putting it on my new Reign and will be sold on with the spitfire :(

Thanks guys :) My new bike comes with the DBInline so it's good to hear positive feedback from owners.

I'm not aware of TFT's warnings so I'll take a look and see if I can find them, thanks :)

EDIT: I found the warnings.

The Aeris has a very low leverage ratio, the shock will be great on it.

Awesome, thanks :)

Decided that I'll sell my Bird Zero.1 when the Aeris arrives otherwise I'll just want to throw money at it. It needs a Reverb and a SRAM 1x11, both of which my Aeris has so I don't really see the point of keeping it even if I do love it.

Probably don't need it since I have a 917 but couldn't resist. Just need to decide on spec really, will probably use wheel from the kona(gonna get some new wheels for the kona). Rest of the parts will come from the 917 in the mean time, just need to decide on the fork. Tempted by the dvo diamond :D

I really should stop getting bikes, picked up a stumpjumper expert Carbon evo 29er over the holidays, pics to come soon :p

Anyone for a Spitfire size M?

Spec as shown, with the exception of brand new wheels and SLX cranks / brakes?

curse your childlike small size otherwise id be tempted (well the frame anyhow)
spitty for my next frame i think

Haha, how tall are you. Off topic... but I recently realised I'm taller than I thought....curse your neanderthal units of measurement!

I'm 178 cm tall, so when you convert that, it's something like 5.8something. Me, thinking in metric, thought that to mean I'm 5.8 ... not knowing it actually means I'm dead on 5.10!
