Is there any access to the rafters?
Got 2 sets of 3 loops of rope hanging from the rafters in ours, one for each side of the handlebars and one for the seat.
saying that it rarely gets used as the bikes are the house most of the time just cause i'm too lazy to open up the garage...

Yep, might do this but use the hangers and hang it from the wheels.

Just get some of the big red hooks from (insert diy store) and hang it from wheels or stem and seatpost. Should only cost a couple quid each.

Those halfords hooks should work though. Got some smaller ones holding the OH cast iron bike to the shed wall and they've held fine.

Yeah I think hanging it upside down from the wheels is the way forward.

Anyone for some Pikes, dem be purdy!

well, entirely new and unused Dual Position 27.5" pikes - "2015" if you had to put a year to them, but they have been the same for the last few years.

Works great with 26" as well, really just means you have more tyre clearance.

Was after 400 ideally, but willing to flex for OcUK

400 for dem pikes be bargain!

My headset bearing came the day after i ordered it from mb bearings. It looked slightly different to the one that come out but all the contact points were the same along with measurements just a different level of machining to the 45 degree outer case which sits in the headset cup.

I couldnt resist trying it as i was worried of the fit. Getting it in the headset cup was very hard compared to the last bearing probably due to the bike being freezing so the cup would have slightly shrunk being outside in 2 degree weather while the bearing was in a 20 degree house! It went in a little wonky so i though i'd tap it back out and start again. When i looked through the top of the headtube all i could see was the tiniest bit of bearing i could tap out, so i tried with a little carpentry hammer and flat head and to my suprise/amazement i managed to knock out the inner sealed bearing body leaving the actual balls and outer bearing in the frame AHHH GREAT, how the foot am i going to get the rest out? Even if i do how the hell am i going to put the bearing back together if i get it out? So after 30 minutes of sweaty fumbling with the bearing somehow the inner bearing went back in and in the process straightened the bearing out and all went back perfect.

moral of the story, get an acros, hope or king headset instead of cheap cruderknacker

Potatoe pic of my Reign with it's poverty cranks on... Raceface Next SL to come next week. Sitting at 28.32LBS as it is, which is pretty darn impressive already!

I know it's certainly a bike that will divide opinion as much as Marmite.

Perhaps it's because it's mine (most likely) and perhaps because I've seen the colour in the flesh, but I'm instantly in love with the look and feel of the bike, the green and yellow works so well together.

What do you guys think the best clothing to wear when riding the trails in the colder weather are?

Looking at the bottom half - would you wear some DH/XC trousers or stick to shorts with/without an under layer?

Cheers

Canterbury long legs with your normal riding shorts over it when I'm really chilly.

Riding with most DH trousers will feel like you're dragging a tarpaulin behind you on an XC ride.
The light ones like the Fox demo pant are actually colder than normal shorts. I get terrible winky-shrinky in mine, as the whole crotch area is super ventilated.
