Dyfi Enduro on Sunday was, erm, fun. Usual mix of long, long uphills and then extra mad downhills - lots of very, very loose, sketchy sections. Bit muddy in places from the past week's rain. Took me over an hour to clean:

I've gone and gotten myself a Leatt neck brace.
One could say its a fashion item and the argument for it is already a cliché, but I do believe you can not put a price on your neck and the £179 spent on it is well worth the cash, it sure is cheaper than a wheelchair.

The Adventure brace is pretty much exactly the same as the carbon fibre one - apart from the obvious (which makes it only 80grams heavier), and it has less adjustability. That said, 100% of Leatt users I have spoken to have said that they have fiddled with the adjustments, but in the end left it at default. MJore than £200 less in price tag too.

Will let you guys know how I get on with it.

Burned alive - I just cried a little.
Miss my stiffee so much, but that build of yours looks insane!

Cant wait to see the full build mate!

Hm, never really thought of the Cube LTD Team to be an alternative.

I do really like the look of it :D

And Burned Alive... Shame on you :p

Im ashamed to say that this is my bike, no mud, no scratches, not even dust!

Not had chance to ride it yet and the nearest thing we have to a hill is a fairly high kerb a couple of roads away.

Well I'm now a fully paid up member of the Specialized Pitch Comp club, picked it up from my LBS today :)

Only had a short blast through the local nature reserve but initial impressions are that it's a real monster when pointing downwards and over roots/stumps. The gear changes are not as good as on my Malt 2, although they are cheaper mechs. Also the gear leavers vibrate when on the road which is a little annoying but I'm sure I'll get used to it! Last but not least the shifters are horrible, I'm so used to flicking the leaver back to drop a cog!

None of those problems are show stoppers, overall I'm very happy with this bike - I can't wait to hit some proper trails with it :)

What shifters does it have? Whats the rear mech? Surely if they are a problem, they can be changed easily.

CS||nuTs, get some riding done! Its too clean! Also, please take the reflectors off :p
