Fitted some Crud Road Racer mudguards to my roadie the other day. First time out I lost the lower part of the front guard when I caught it. But apart from that they worked great on the damp road sections I rode through.

I love em
They even have an awesome service if you break/snap some of the parts.
I accidentally broke the rear main blade :o, it snapped I just sent the main blade to them and asked for a replacement 2 days later I received a new one free of charge :D.

What should be the position for your saddle, height wise? I always thought your leg should be near enough straight when at the bottom of the rotation, is that correct? And if so, is that with with foot extended, i.e. toes pointing downwards a bit, or more with you heel lower down with your toes pointing upwards a bit.

I prefer having my legs a little more bent went riding off road but last couple of rides my knee's been giving me a bit of jip so I'm thinking I might be riding in a bad position.

Woah.. awesome vid and Brendan really does have a lot of style.. Just they make it look so damn easy in slow mo lol!

Looks like Sam Blenko has left Yeti.. Me thinks he is gonna be on a Trek next year ;)

You know that was my immediate thought as well, especially with his ex-team mate now with them, but I have the feeling that it won't be.
Trek already have quite a few people on the team (if everything stays the same in their camp) and I dont see them looking to add more.

I then thought maybe Specialized... but with Brendan, Sam AND then new Troy Brosnan I doubt it.

My money is on GT, Mick needs a team mate and they are a large company that can afford adding a top ten rider.

GT got Mark Beamont, who on his day is a good rider. Unless Giant are going to be making a return with a top DH team im left wondering really? Few reasons i think Trek is more likely is due to Leov, more tech tracks etc and Martin Whitely. Could be looking for Treks first Mens DH world cup win i think.

There is a few youtube clips that you can search and look into
not really sure if this applies to other bikes.

White stuff looks good for about 10 minutes, then gets scratched and dirty. I had that bash, it lasted about 2 weeks, don't use prolink gold chain lube with it :p

New bars, stem, bashguard and pedals.

Need some bling white wheels now :D

What chain lube are you using? Whats the general lube people use these days? Are there different options for the summer and winter months?

Also, wheres the white seat? :p

Finish Line wet.

Tried the dry in the summer, but it didn't even seem to last an entire ride without needing reapplying.

Makes me want to swap the slx bash for a white turbocharger... mmmm

I use Rock N Roll Extreme all year round, easy to apply, doesnt attract dirt onto the drive train and lasts really well in heavy weather.

I just use GT85 or similar, only issue is that I need to reapply every ride. As its so wet not much point putting lube on just to be washed away.

Isnt GT85 the same as WD40? (With WD40 being avoided at all costs)

Well, WD40 is a water dispersant, degreaser and a mild (poor) lubricant, so it essentially flushs all the existing lubricant out of your chain and then barely relubricates it, with the small amount of lubrication it does offer being easily washed off in wet conditions.

It would appear that GT85 also includes teflon, so may be a better lubricant than WD40 but still dubious IMO.

GT85 is miles better than wd. Not sure why :P (not really bothered either) but I use it on everything, although I wouldn't use it as the only lubrication on the chain. Mainly just give it all a spray after a wash to stop any rusty drivetrain.
