wouldnt filing the hanger compromise the strength of it?
Any one using Time Z freeride pedals?
Doing some research into replacing my 520's with something thats got SPD and a platform so i can get away with out needing spd's for short trips.
Time seem to have lots of float, good for my aging knees.

Urgh. Rear derailleur cable head snapped off today 35 miles into my ride, thankfully I'd only got another 8 or so to get home as running dinglespeed of 34-11 or 50-11 is hard work

Wasn't sure what was wrong at the time, was worried the shifter had broken, with only ~8miles to home I just stuck with the 34-11 rather than mess up the rear limits.

Fair enough, single speeding that ratio can't have been that bad for you, the chain probably didn't like it too much though

The hanger, where the wheel axle goes. So at least when I have a puncture I can actually get the wheel out.
Gears all work perfectly with some tinkering with limit screws.
Just need CRC to sort there act out! Although i could buy one for £25. But shouldnt need to on a new Cove frame.

As long as the frame dropout is fine I guess minor surgery on the hanger is okay. Have you tried another hanger from anywhere else to make sure it lines up with the bolt holes?
