If you're interested I'm selling my Giro Remedy full face for £40, perfect condition apart from a few of the usual tiny scratches and chips.

No thanks mate, the remedy is too, Bowling ball-esque :p
If you are interested, I'm selling my THE Carbon Twisted Vine, size large ;)
Comes with extra peak. Cheapest I can find it anywhere is £119 ex delivery.
I'm wanting £75inc

That is very nice! Tempting but my housemate has a THE carbon helmet and I don't like to copy.

I got a 2nd hand Remedy carbon from the Southern Downhill forums for £50 so I'm trying to flog my old non-carbon one.

I kinda agree on the bowling ball :p BUT...you can get too 'long and thin' like the Specialized Devient, I don't like the looks of that because of it's ridiculously long jaw section!
Those 661 helmets are heading that way too! :p

Im going to Morzine in the summer, XC and a bit of DH. Do I need a full face or can I get away with my normal XC helmet?
I'll have pads etc but the helmet is a question mark.

When I went to Morzine I took just a normal helmet and I crashed quite badly and I had to go to a French hospital - not good!

If I'd had a fullface I would have been in a better state, I bought one there the day after.

I had knee/shin + elbow/arm pads on too.

Even if you're not doing it on a DH bike you need DH gear imo.

I'm assuming that you will be doing the Pleney (Morzine main lift) and Chevanne (Les gets main lift), as it's completely rollable with an XC bike.
Even so I would advise using a full face, as you pick up speed quicker than you think and it's easy to make a mistake.

A quick question
I'm fitting a Hope bottom bracket to my XT M770 Crankset this week.

Q - What tool do I need to remove the pedal arm on the non-drive size? (I already have a BB remove tool)
Thanks :)

You need a 5mm hex to undo the two bolts, something small to lever up the little locking pin and either the special tool or anything which will undo the preload cover, presuming the 770's fit the same as the 760's.

Did my first mountain bike ride of the year today, 3 hours out on the SS, hard work!

Someone start an official roadie thread, the sight of thick tyres, suspension and loose clothes is making me dizzy :P

It's not their fault that they all love 6" of movement in the rear, it's just the way they are.

Hopefully building a new commuter this weekend, custom built steel framed track bike with additions such as rack and guard mounts. I'll get some pictures up when it's done.

I'll have nothing shorter than 8" in my rear thank you very much!
