Yea me too, should be a good laugh and also a completely eclectic riding group.
Most of my normal riding buddies can't make it, but a few that never come riding with us are going to show up. It's going to be a propper Heckler fest actually, as Ichabold, Weescott and 2 of my "non regular riding buddies" are gonna be on them!

Thats ok only the cool people going have a Santa Cruz anyway :p

~Which is rather funny as they're made by giant anyway. ;)

Mine's a giant anthem x3 well sort off, i've gone and replaced it with mostly xtr gear.

Btw anyone looking for a silly bike light just google troutlight it's quite nutty though trouble is anyone with less than say 600 lumens gets washed out.

Ah but can you touch the trailtech whilst it's running, 32w hid if i remember rightly, anyway hid eww no thanks how much would a bulb or ballast cost again. ;)

At full pelt mine is about 2100 lumens minus the usual losses, but i get the bonus of future upgrades, current xpg led's are about 345 lumens a piece but xpt should be out end of the year which will be 500 lumens each, so 3000 lumens for me. ;)

True for carbon frames they usually are made directly, shame it's only the top end carbon frames that are exclusive.

Was looking at a superlight a while back only it's showing it's age so doesn't live up to the name, besides multi pivot frames have come a long way nowadays.

Ah but...compare a Trailtech HiD to the say a Exposure MaxxD. Much better VFM. Just a shame it is so big and heavy. I much prefer the throw of my HiD compared to the Exposure light. No need for a separate head torch and bar light. Could you do some pics of your light? Would be good to compare 2100 LED to 1800 HiD. :)

I don't think Single pivot is showing its age at all. Granted suspension designs like VPP2 and DWlink are better. But, give SP a platform shock like the RP23 and it is still a very good system. I don't understand why SC spec rubbish shocks on their SP bikes. They make them perform rubbish.

I had a bit of an off before, straight over the bars after I fluffed a small drop, thought I was doing quite well until I was hit over the back of the head with a large framed mountain bike :o :D

Wrists and arms are a bit sore now though..

Sure here it is on full tilt, much brighter when in use the streetlight is washing it out a bit.

Light plus battery was £260 for me btw. ;)

And exposure are a bit of a rip off for what you get.

You really should try my anthem, it has a pushed rp23, super plush. :D

I bought the anthem partly as a friend has an fsr works epic, she would beat everyone uphill, that was until my bike came along and whizzed past, oops. :o

looks impressive.

before I get my shot (read figure out how to use my new camera properly). Here is a gratuitous Trailtech light and battery shot:

BTW. You should try my Blur XCc for climbling. Nothing quite like it. :D

Unless you both use the same settings then you can't compare night photos.

Hux's photo is a 5 second exposure - if I took a 20 second exposure of my £5 bikehut light then it would appear brighter ;)

Holy moly, if I put that on my commute, I'd probably be arrested!!

Upgrades for me this month: I don't like Campag Mirage, no wonder it's a cheap groupset, woeful. So I am putting Ultegra SL on my commuter, picked up STIs in perfect condition from a "friend of a friend" for £90, just ordered rest of the grupo (with a spare FSA Carbon crank I have lying around), should be a fairly formidable commuter now :P

About to purchase an Ultegra SL Planet X in pink too for the missus, and I want to put DA 7900 over 7800 on the ROI, and move the 7800 to the Bianchi...

Ermm, maybe a weird question but does anyone know how to remove 160mm disc brake rotors from Shimano Deore wheel hubs?

Bought new brakes that come with 203mm rotors, but I can't get the old ones off. I can't figure out how they're meant to be removed. :/

Not quite, f6 i believe it's the standard setting for when taking pictures of any light ask those on mtbr and candlepower forums. ;)

Plus it was the only way i could get a decent picture anyway otherwise the camera would adapt for the light settings, anyway sdk the light believe it or not is actually brighter in person, i actually find it a bit much and have had headaches if left on for too long, when newer led's come out i'll opt for a softer colour option as it's be far less straining and not cast shadows everywhere so ppl shouldn't fuss about their light disappearing.

Shimano discs err i think they'll be centrelock so you use a hg cassette tool to undo the spline in the middle.

Anyway just google lumen liberator, i did a thread on bike radar about it as im the resident led nut, you'll see a p7 led comparison shot plus some other folk with the same unit, a friend has a lupine betty, her light near vanished when mine came along. :D

The led's glow green when the unit it off, troutie put a couple **** of uv paint on each led so should it fly off you can still find it, it also has a lexan bottom which is great for lighting the trail underneath so you don't end up crashing into something low down unlike more traditional lights.
