LOL :)
No hair straighteners in sight :p

Hard case = riding gear : TLD Jerseys & shorts - enough for 7 days riding.
Nike bag = normal clothes - enough for late night parties !! :)
Large SixSixOne bag = 2x riding shoes, XC helmet, gloves, armour
A spare front wheel (150mm thru axel wheels are hard to find should I bend it)
Full Face helmet
Drinks Bottles & SIS powder drinks.

It soon mounts up :D
 
Just back from Carron Valley with 5 mates from work. Excellent morning. Bit muddy because of all the rain we had yesterday but top fun. We were up there last week and I bunged some footage up on Youtube, got more vid footage today so I'll edit that and stick it up on YT too. I'll post the links in a bit, don't expect much in the way of speed though, we are all MTB wobblers!!. :p

Yeah just the frame at the moment. Although I am considering the Forks and Hope headset.


Forks are 150mm Revelation race - serviced at TF tuned 2 weeks ago with all seals etc replaced.

Might be looking for a Race frame, Ive got my sights on XC races.

Although in that singletrack advert it says 140mm, I had the spacer taken out to make them 150mm.

Ok, vid footage as promised from last week, still working on editing todays footage. :)

First one is quite long as it's pretty much the entire downhill sections of Carron Valley once the climb up has been completed :-


Second one is a lot shorter as it is the "Runway" freeride section. I would have got better footage if I had been at the back or in the middle. As a result, I'm up front and have nothing in front of me, they were all following me down :-


As I said, don't expect anything special or fast here, we are complete MTB newbies. :p
 
I'll admit I have only read the last 3 pages of this thread or I'd be here all week :eek:
Just got myself a new bike as a ditch decided that it would snap my old one in half! Was only a halfords special that was a good few years old so good excuse to get a new one. :D

Is this the same as Guisborough forest trails? Just that i looked on the forestry comission site and it said it was closed, was looking to go somewhere in the next few days.

LOL!!!. I'm still road biking and loving that too but I certainly wish I had discovered mountain bikes a long time ago!.

Carron Valley isn't the longest or most exciting trail around but it's right on my doorstep and being a newbie I love it to bits, it's seriously addictive. Fancy trying Glentress or Innerleithen next, looking at organising a trip down there with the motely crew in the above vids at some point. :p

Got another couple from yesterday to finish editing and I'll upload them shortly. :)
