Cmooon, get yourself a burlier bike, nothing less than 6 inches in the rear ... and no... anything less isn't "fine" and no...your "riding technique" wont make up for it![/img]

LOL!!!. To be honest I just love Cubes. If I had known just how hooked on off roading I was going to get when I bought my Acid I'd probably have gone for a full suss. I just love the look of those Cube AMS bikes, you could sit and stare at that in your garage for ages. :p

I bought my Pinarello mainly because of its looks as well, could have got something with a slightly better groupset etc for the same price but once I saw it in the flesh I had to have it.

Sometimes its ok to let your heart rule your head. :D

Great.. get the Cube Fritzz then :D
(not to be confuzed with the Cube Fritzl model... you dont want to get stuck underground)

I currently have a massive hard-on for the Specialized 2011 Enduro bikes!
Did someone smack you upside of head with the Special Ed stick? :(
Just been reading up on the Specialized Pitch Pro after checking out your upgrade.
Seems like a very well spec'd bike for the price. I've added it to my list of 3 possible purchases for my next bike

Santa Cruz Heckler - Frame only, does anywhere in the UK sell complete builds?
Giant Reign X2
Specilized Pitch Pro
The Heckler is amazing value after the price drop. Much beefier than the Pitch. A guy I have ridden with a couple of times keeps up with me fine on his Pitch but he backs off on the narly stuff a bit.
Santacruz builds are a bit expensive. When I built my Heckler up myself I got a better spec for less money than what Stiff were offering.

Now who's been hit with the special stick?!

Seriously, heckler burlier than the pitch, no chance.
Also, I struggled to keep up with a guy on a Pitch on the French National track in Lindarets this Alps trip. The same guy did a 30ft roadgap in Morgins on said pitch. Your mate riding his pitch is just rubbish at riding ;)

... and to prove that I'm not completely full of poop, here were all are at Morgins, he's the one in the blue Tshirt second from the left

Absolutley. Poo riders aside, If I think an 09 Enduro is flexy then what chance has a Pitch got? The Pitch used to cost less as a whole bike than a Heckler frame alone! Hardly a comparison. 2 very different bikes.

Well I've just done two runs of Chopwell's finest *ahem* powerline trail and some local trails with the Van R fitted and there's only one word for it:

Smooth.

I've heard people say "When I fitted XXXX it totally transformed the bike" and I usually scoff at that sentence as I didn't believe something could transform a bike so drastically but I'm going to eat my own words and say that it's like a totally different bike. Jumps are easier to take off from and because of that it's easier to control the bike in the air, once the landing comes it's like landing on a sofa - even on the rough stuff. Chopwell has a small very rocky descent at the bottom of one of the runs and it just glides over it with no commotion whereas the X-Fusion would make a bit of a meal of it, I thought that was just how full sussers were.

I'm a happy bunny :D on another note I've managed to get the bolt off with a proper spanner (not the slotted type I used last night) so I don't need the LBS to sort it for me, I've had to order a whole rear linkage kit instead of just one bolt though! Lesson learned I suppose.

Now I just need some skill and I might do the bike some justice :p

You maybe remember me posting a clip of my medium enduro a while back...well ive now got hold of a large frame and built it up but im still undecided on which one to go with.

From the 2 vids below which would you say is the better fitting bike?

The medium i have the seat all the way back on its rails and the large i have the seat set in the middle of the rails.

LARGE:

MEDIUM:

Thanks

So far we've done Fort William DH - both Red and Black. The world cup course is just mega, respect to the pro's that can get down in under 5 mins.

Today we did red and black Laggan Wolftrax. The black is just super intense with steep rocky section after rocky section.

Hitting Glentress black tomorrow for a trail that is a little lighter.
