Right, quick question for any big-headed people out there- where do you buy your helmets from? Normal ones don't come close to fitting my head.
What tyres would you guys recommend as a compromise between on road/tarmac for a commute and off road but only for trails and canal paths etc not heavy duty off roading?.
I've just bought some Panaracer Mach SS for the same stuff, though they're more a XC Race tyre than a road semi slick, so they're more off road biased. Dirt cheap though, £10 each from JE James. Only got my rear wheel fixed today, so just put the tyre on and haven't had time to give them a proper test yet, but after a quick up the road and back they're much quieter and faster rolling than an mud tyre.

I ride on Crank brother egg beaters for off road.
XC/FR and AM
Yup me too.

It's worth the trip if you like natural trails. Some epic big country riding all over. If you do venture further than Dundee let me know.
